Its equally dumb as

- the sonar/cell phone thing and the sonar-eyes
- a tank driving on rooftops
- a train with a vaporizer
- blocking a bazooka shot

Don't forget Hong Kong, it was awesome but utterly absurd set of sequences ending in that plane picking batman up

Man, Bane's creepy speak-n-spell voice is really nice. Too bad I dont know a goddamn thing he's saying.

Why don't they just shoot him in the face?

Well, I'm talking about this movie specifically. I have my problems with those things in the previous 2 movies. The realism angle Nolan gets lauded with is laughable.

This movie so far has

-A really retarded, non-sensical aerial sequence
-Weirdo CG-fest in a football field
-A flying vehicle for Batman

This doesn't look like it fits in with TDK at all. Definitely looks much more comic-book-ish.

I agree the CG football field looked weird. But, points one and three are really no more out there then anything else in the previous movies. He had a fucking jumping tank in part one. That was fine? But a vehicle that can fly!? What kind of sci-fi shit is this?

It's not realistic. It's grounded in reality. It's about how things are presented/sold to the viewer.

Meh I can live with a sniper sticky bombs, cape-flying, smashing glass with spin, isolated black-out device/phone, corrupt cops, and operation skyhook is an actual thing

I would question WayneTech even more if they were never working on prototype aerial vehicles, but had the time to make a motorcycle inside a tank.

"Why aren't we working on jets and helicopters?"

"Shut the fuck up, I want that motorcycle popping out of that tank by Monday morning!"

It's a fucking super hero movie! I really don't understand the "unreal" shit. Who the fuck cares? It's done well and it looks amazing. Having said that, Rachel McAdams should be in this movie as Selina Kyle's lesbian lover. The lesbian sex scene should last no less than 15 minutes.

I'm pretty sure that was a custom upgrade post-prototype. Why would a bridge building car need a motorcycle?

Jesus, is that a stunt-ass?

Funny, my dad always said to me, sports games are a scary opportunity to get many people at once during a terrorist attack.

I guess Nolan was thinking the same exact thing. It's a really terrifying thought.

fakest thing about the stadium: Hines Ward outrunning a defense.

Finally someone points it out. What the fuck is Hines Ward doing returning a kickoff, let alone scoring a TD?!

Also, Cowher is the Gotham coach during the scene, seriously. That scene is less scary than the Bucs team he's going to coach next season.

the thought of that happening on a field of a team i care about is absolutely horrifying.

It happening to the Steelers...doesn't have nearly the effect.

Not this again. Really? No one claimed that Nolan made a movie based on a comic book where a man dresses up as a Bat "real". He did make it more realistic and grounded it. Compare it to the Tim Burton or Joel Shumaker movies. Tell me which ones are more realistic or grounded in a real world?

Anyway how is the trailer other than the football scene? I am going to hold out on watching it until I see it in theaters (possibly Sunday) or when it is released in HD quality online. Till then having seen the prologue and seeing it again on Fri night will hold me over.

It looks cool, but sad that some of the shots in the prologue sizzle reel aren't here. The quality is worse then both prologue leaks so waiting is the wise thing to do.

Let's just go full hyperbole here:

THIS IS GOING TO BE NOLAN'S SPIDERMAN 3! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK!

Haha I feel like I started a shitstorm with the football thing. I dunno, as a huge fb fan it just looked weird to me.. Everything else looks amazing to me though.

Yeah I get the feeling a lot of people go into certain movies wanting to dislike it and then nitpick it to hell when they do find something to dislike.

Of course there are those who overlook everything if they want to like the movie.

I don't get caught up on things like evaporators or the batmobile being able to climb rooftops, I get more upset at things like Rachel being a completely different character in the 2nd movie and I don't even mean the change in actresses.
