I like the 8 year jump, I don't really like the idea that there hasn't been a Batman in that 8 years. Seems weird. So throughout his entire career he fought the mob, Ras and Scarecrow, Joker, and Bane and Catwoman. I don't know. I would have prefered it be left open that he had just been fighting crime for 8 years. Sure it will play out awesome in the movie though.

I think he means that she struggles with insecurities surrounding her personal identity. Probably refers to the fact that she'll likely have back-and-forth allegiances during the film (speculation).
Post above me is probably right in terms of where the plot goes, but at first I think the second threat is probably Catwoman. Again, speculation.
Yeah, I'm aware of her, but it seems odd to mention it in the synopsis. Talia isn't going to inspire Batman to return? If that's who the synopsis is referring to, it kinda gives something away.

I think the answer to Speevy's question is the reason the press releases call her "Selina Kyle", rather than Catwoman. She's probably a known asset; no secret identity. Maybe no one will actually call her Catwoman, but if they do I bet it'll just be a nickname, rather than an alias.

For the case of this synopsis--and I'm guessing for half the movie--she is.
I agree about half the movie. The first half I suspect she'll be a enemy of Batman but then team up to take on Bane and the other villian.

As for the spoilers, I think most of it's speculatory. Hard to tell the difference though, since the line between what's been officially released has become blurred.

Yeah, it hasn't been confirmed by the studio or anything. But,
the little girl playing the young talia has confirmed it, plus the studio confirmation of Neeson being in it, plus the on set photos of her in an odd costume getting out of a tumbler with armed soldiers with her all equals Talia. Too bad it's out cause I expect it was supposed to be the one major plot twist in the movie. All that's left is wondering if Batman dies.

Oh yah, I know that's a sure thing; that's not what I meant. The point I was making was more-so in agreement with what you were saying about unmarked spoilers. I was referring to the fact that a lot of people ITT, including me probably, are speculating about certain things and leaving our comments unmarked (since it's only speculation). The problem is, a lot of our speculation is based off of stuff that spoiler-sensitive people would probably freak out over. It's hard to know where to draw the line.
Maybe if WB would released some new official footage, it would make actually discussing the film a bit easier, without resorting to a wall of blacked out text, lol.
Also, since we're ranking, my guess would be this:
TDK>TDKR>BB.
I'm sure I'll love the new film, maybe even more than TDK. Regardless, I feel like it's a safe bet that I'll prefer both of the sequels over Begins, as great as it is. A lot of people on GAF seem to prefer the original..they're not really even in the same ballpark for me.

Two conflicting reports. Variety's news editor heard from his sources that it's "just" over two hours. Then there's Gilberg, a trusted poster on Super Hero Hype who's somehow connected with WB; he's been posting accurate information since Batman Begins days (lol, I know). According to him, the cut Nolan showed to studio brass was closer to three hours than two.
My theory? Variety's source was probably just some studio guy recalling a vague impression of how long it was a day or so after watching it, rather than relaying an exact figure. Sort of like when Leo said Inception was "around two hours". The final film was two and a half.
TL;DR? Probably 160ish minutes. Maybe a bit less.

TDK was 6 months after BB, making this film take place in basically modern day.Well it's 8 years after TDK and that'd make it 2016... so they'd be already on iPad 7 in Gotham
