How hard would you guys laugh if in a totally serious scene, you just see Nolan making a cameo in the background.

In Batman and Bane's final showdown, Bane rips Batman's suit off to see a vest underneath.

Bane-"A little vest on ya. I like that"

*Nolan appears out of nowhere*

Nolan-"Then you're gonna love me"

*Nolan delivers final blow to Bane*

I wonder if Scarecrow will be Batman's Apollo.

Maybe its the mask but I really can't see Tom Hardy in that character. Bane definitely feels like a force to be reckoned with, I sense Joker has been topped.

Given how vastly different Bane's lines "I'm Gotham's reckoning" and "Your punishment must be more severe" sound, and Nolan saying that they're not changing the voice, I'm assuming that he's going to sound more like the first, and the second was merely cleaned up for the trailer.

Edit: Also, this thread isn't long for this world.

Both lines were perfectly understandable on the first listen to me. I don't think there are actually any quotes of Nolan saying the voice wasn't being changed, just supposed "I heard from someone that Nolan said this" bullshit. The voice has obviously been made better.

shagg_187 and I are on the opposite end

All we see now is Bane :( I was watching clips of Warrior the other day and all I saw was a beserk Bane

Just saw the trailed. DAMN! Gives away a bit too much, but i'm hyped. I can already tell that people are going to have trouble understanding half the things Bane says, though.

For a trailer, though, the beginning was really well done. I loved that mute style, gave it all the more impact.

The first thing he says in prologue was understandable, but still hard. But as soon as shit started popping off and loud sounds and music came on I had no clue wtf the dude was saying. It was wayyyy too robotic and muffled.

I agree that it's much clearer than the prologue, but only the first line in the trailer has any noticeable reverberation like he had in the trailer. So I think the second line was either cleaned up or is just the dialogue without the effects. That or maybe Bane only has that growl when he's pumping venom(or whatever the film equivalent is).

Wait that's not even Bane pushing him, must be a mercenary or something. Unless they brought in a stunt double?

Someone mentioned earlier, and it is him. It's Christopher Judge, who played Teal'c on Stargate SG-1.

The hero that Gotham deserves.

I did this out of pure boredom in 5 minutes. Help me GAF.

The end of the Dark Knight Rises will be a jump to the future. JGL will be the new batman because the next money milking DC machine will be Batman Beyond.

I agree, but I do wonder why they'd give him so much screen time in the trailer. Still, I think him being Robin or Nightwing is unlikely.

he's going to be some nolan version of whatever sidekick/replacement you want. he probably won't be running around in tights all day. maybe they'll just have a quip where he is referred to as robin nightwing azareal or whatever

Seriously. Anyone seriously expecting him to turn out to be Robin/knightwing are delusional. That shit isn't happening.

Yeah according to the earliest impressions from in-studio reviews of the script, the execs weren't happy with how it ends because it won't allow them to do a direct sequel with a new director and cast. Ending with Robin/Knightwing would not fit that sort of ending.

Personally I hope they don't kill off Batman.

Just speculation from the trailer, but it looks like Batman will be out of commission for a chunk of the movie, getting back the eye of the tiger. JGL is probably getting screen time because we'll view occupied Gotham through him. Every other character Batman knows is old or dead.

Or he's that kid from the narrows turned nightwing...turned Joker and thrown into a time machine.
