Also, Nolan movies that get worse with each time I have revisited them:
- The Dark Knight, Inception

Nolan movies that have gotten better each time I have revisited them:
- The Prestige, Batman Begins, Memento

I have a tough time choosing Memento or The Prestige as his best film. But as for the rest, I would probably go The Dark Knight > Inception > Insomnia > Batman Begins > Following.

If it was just the first 2/3 of BB, it would be ahead of TDK, but the last third of the film really drops off in quality. TDK stays pretty consistent besides the whole ferry scene near the end. And I really liked Insomnia.

Henchman: Show yourself, where are you?
Batman: Here

Here 2.0

Love how they showed the end of the movie already. Batman taking a mouth full of bullets to the face and falling on a henchman, you crazy for this one Nolan.

Yeah, I agree about TDK's third act being nothing more than decent. When I re-watch the movie (and I do it, a lot), I always stop after Harvey goes in a killing spree, more or less.

Inception suffers from the same problem.

My ranking of Nolan movies:

The Dark Knight
The Prestige
Batman Begins
Memento
Inception
Insomnia

Damn, that was hard. I don't know if I prefer The Prestige to Batman Begins, let's call it a tie.

Was I the only man on Earth that thought Maggie Gylenhall was hot in TDK?

Power?
Knife. That's it?

He cuts people AND himself.

They not even showed Joker doing a single cut on someone's mouth ... having Zsasz in full potential would make the movie AT LEAST with an R rating =P

In a popcorn movie a knife is more powerfull than a rocket launcher =P

If Scarecrow doesn't get another cameo this movie can suck my dick

Bane breaks the bat ... and suddenly ... it was all an hallucination ! =O

Actualy....

There is an episode of the BTAS called "Over the Edge" where
the police chases the batman, the city becomes chaos searching for batman, cops enter the batcave, the batgirl dies and Gordon calls Bane to kill Batman ... in the end they all fall to their deaths .. and it was all a Scarecrow hallucination by Batgirl.
.... seems familiar ?

But watch the only appearance from the Joker be through the eyes of someone exposed to the hallucinogen.
I love how Joker is immune to Scarecrow's fear spray

That has to be everyone's favorite episode.

Doesn't fit this universe very well. Knife is a personal weapon. Translates much better for comics. If you do it in a movie you would need tighter shots, slow down, better choregraphed fights. I don't think you can fake knife expertise either.

Did you just spoiler a 14 year old cartoon episode?

:P

:P

It is an AWESOME 14 year old cartoon episode!
If you never saw, don't let anyone spoil you on Duck Amuck !

The spoiler was also because this movie and that episode shares lots of themes and facts ... Dark Knight NonRises ends with the police chasing Batman!

How about the fact that the scene happens in miliseconds and the guard's brain don't have enoght RAM to process it so fast and still didn't got a reaction ? xD

orrr....in the time it takes them to walk down that incredibly long hallway she is able to slip the cuffs off?

Ram? Are they in NewEgg prison?

The reasoning why she is there.
The action is terrible, I don't expect anything from the fights.

It's bizarre how this series hasn't really been known for it's exciting action scenes....and yet it's still one of the most entertaining comic book-film series out there (well most entertaining currently for sure)
