And Los Angeles yes. But the big city shots are New York.
Yup they got big benWrong. The big city shots are of Pittsburgh with spliced in buildings from New York and London.

Stealing a hole?I think somebody will try and steal that.
They filmed in London? I thought for gotham it was mostly pittsburg/NY and some LA?
I think the Wayne mansion stuff was shot in London. The police station/precint was also shot there.
I think Glasgow was used as well iirc?

Think that's the prologue/plane stuff
What are the odds that Ebert lowers TDKR's score because Gotham doesn't look like Chicago in this one?

Did he seriously mark down the second or first film for that reason?
What?
Well that I knew... but I mean he took a mark off because it didnt look ENOUGH like Chicago?
Its supposed to look like Gotham.
Gene Siskel is probably rolling around in his grave.
Batman Begins said:The movie was shot on location in Chicago, making good use of the murky depths of lower Wacker Drive and the Board of Trade building (now the Wayne Corp.). Special effects add a spectacular monorail down La Salle Street, which derails in the best scene along those lines since "The Fugitive."
The Dark Knight said:Yes, the special effects are extraordinary. They focus on the expected explosions and catastrophes, and have some superb, elaborate chase scenes. The movie was shot on location in Chicago, but it avoids such familiar landmarks as Marina City, the Wrigley Building or the skyline. Chicagoans will recognize many places, notably La Salle Street and Lower Wacker Drive, but director Nolan is not making a travelogue. He presents the city as a wilderness of skyscrapers, and a key sequence is set in the still-uncompleted Trump Tower. Through these heights, the Batman moves at the end of strong wires, or sometimes actually flies, using his cape as a parasail.

Hines ward catching a ball and outrunning people. PreposterousI'm going into the movie assuming everything is real, including the murder of nearly two entire football teams.
Do you think they might have filmed the final shot of the plane fuselage for reals?, likefrom under a helicopter or something?dropping it

I always wondered why they needed 4 copies of it in Scotland.
What? The big helicopter cityscapes are pure New York, except the one with added monorails and W A Y N E sign, plus cgi destruction obviously.
Most of the chase shots are Pittsburgh.
Yeah possibly.Who knows, maybe they shot a scene of someone going over the wreckage, like a button shot to go against that little bit of dialogue in the Prologue.

Oh I hope that goes away ASAP. I don't even want to know how the explain the plane being all over the place and the dude with Bane's whatever he switchedWho knows, maybe they shot a scene of someone going over the wreckage, like a button shot to go against that little bit of dialogue in the Prologue.
This is where Hardy in the tunnel and Ward were relative to each other, but it might play out differently in the film.

That's the stretch of turf he ran down, and the 3 holes are presumably for the players you see running and falling, to jump down into, to give them a credible look of falling into a hole.
Edit: never mind. The far end collapses further than Hines Ward's end, he's lucky! I wonder why they got rid of the yellow grass though, maybe it looked more seamless this way.

Yah. That's almost certainly what they did.Same with the shots of the fuselage suspended vertically while Bane's men rappel down it. You can tell because there's no forward momentum in those shots..it's just hanging there, as opposed to being dragged by a plane. Had they gone the vfx route, the physics would've been as accurate as possible. It's definitely suspended from a chopper.
It was the first time I ever heard Christian say he was tired, Hardy remembers. I was watching him for however many months getting beaten up and wet and cold, and he never said anything. Inside, I was dying, but I was thinking, This cant bother me because hes not bothered. But on Wall Street, he just turned and said, You know what? Im exhausted. I said, Me too.
We stopped the fight and started hugging each other, Bale adds.
On the film as a whole, Hathaway is equally enthusiastic. I think that it will be surprising but very, very satisfying. I say, In Nolan we trust.
What are you talking about Mr. Blake.Joseph Gordon-Lewitt said:The young actor plays John Blake, a Gotham City police officer who proves his mettle to Commissioner Gordon and becomes one of his most trusted allies. He also shares a connection to Bruce Wayne in that he, like Bruce, is an orphan.
And I wont specify why, but I was not disappointed. It really does feel like a conclusion.
It looks like that's actually what he's saying.
Did he seriously mark down the second or first film for that reason?
What?

"In Nolan we trust."
Hardy gets it.
Except the quote comes from Hathaway.
PROVE IT!
