Fucking sick and tired of critics forgetting that TDK has a superior prequel.

I think the success of TDK pretty much retconned Begins out of existence.

Shame since Begins was by far the most stylistic and atmospheric Batman film ever. Everything from the "Will to Act" montage to the narrows was really well done.

Most critics and casual viewers liked TDK more. Get over it.

The first one isn't always the best.

Only on neogaf do I ever see people saying that Begins is better than TDK.

I agree with you, but most people probably think TDK is better. It's like, okay, TDKR is better than TDK, but what about Begins? I just don't think it's going to be easy to top the first half of Begins, but again, I clearly like Begins more than the people who think TDK is better.

If I had no idea what GAF was I'd still think it's better. But yeah you can find any opinion on the internet. Any.

Trying to order IMAX tickets for Sunday, July 22, but fandango won't let me yet :( Anyone know how long before the movie they let you buy them (some Friday IMAX showings are already sold out around here)

Weird. Two days ago I ordered IMAX tickets for a TDKR showing at the Mall of Georgia on the 21st (off fandango), but I guess it is up to what theater you are trying to buy from.

I absolutely agree with Solo. COMPLETELY.

I'll always like BB more than TDK.

But people put TDK up in a higher standard and well...that's okay.

It's really unfair though how much people forget about Batman Begins.

Both of these are true

well, Aliens/alien goes either way, but let's not pretend you can't prefer one over the other pretty easily.

If you're a fan of action, Aliens is far better in that regard and Inception goes to shit in the final third. I'm not a huge action fan so I can't really agree.

1. Inception isn't shit, but it is deeply flawed to its very core.
It's caked in bullshit but it's a cerebral blockbuster, and I'm willing to applaud that. I've never experienced such intense discussion about a film on the drive home with friends than after I first watched Inception.

- Hot Tub Time Machine is one of the best comedies of the last five years. Discuss.

It at least has Jessica Pare topless.

After watching both movies so many times, I could never pick a favorite, let alone tell which one is better. But Begins always has me hooked up from the very beginning until the end, though it's not such a thrilling ride. While TDK has me thrilled the whole time, and jerking off to the Joker. But I stop watching when the boat stuff begins.

Well, there will be a new camp post-TDKR. The TDKR camp.

My order will be one of these:

BB > TDK > TDKR
BB > TDKR > TDK
TDKR > BB > TDK

BUT WHICH ONE?!

It is time...

The Thing is really good until the third act, until it just coasts along on tension instead of plot propulsion. The final scene is pretty awesome, though.
