wow here are some opinions that I can't understand but you know everyone has one for himself huh?

So I'm excited to see the movie still not happy with Anne playing Selina but meh.

I remember an interview with Wally Pfister before they started shooting TDKR where he mentions that he and Nolan disagree on which of the the first two films they like better. I think he strongly suggested Nolan preferred BB.

Kinda sad that the hype train will be coming to it's destination soon.

But still... It was a hell of a run.

Good, that gives me more hope for TDKR than any review could. The thing about reviews for this movie is that they're going to be comparing TDKR to TDK, but really that tells me nothing as I'm not so hot about TDK apart from its stellar, flawless 2nd act. Things in the 1st and 3rd acts really annoy the fuck out of me and keep me from liking it more than BB.

So if Nolan prefers BB, hopefully that means that he makes TDKR with that one in mind.

the only thing wrong with that movie is fucking two face... he shouldn't have been in the movie at all. Just the joker. Fuck that actor too.... hate that guys face..lol. Plus the movie really doesn't have the much re-watch value... I seen it like 8 times I think and I don't think I could again. Same with BB.

This might be the dumbest thing I've seen all week. For several reasons. Unless you're joking. Internet sarcasm doesn't always translate.

Probably posted already but this was in the SuperHero Hype forums posted by a member named scoop12

Not much really in terms of actual story spoilers but I spoilered it just to be safe.

I'm almost afraid to post this after KOF's reactions, but i just got out of an exhibitor screening in Dallas of TDKR. It was absolutely incredible. Better than TDK in almost all ways. Whoever gave this a 9/10 is being too harsh. If this isn't a 10, then a 10 does not exist.

Let me start with the story. The story is tied in perfectly to the other two films and I do believe this is a perfect trilogy. Quite a bit of the speculation on these boards is very close to the truth, but there are many aspects of the story that have not been speculated about. Expect a few good surprises.

The performances of the actors are magnificent. I can't decide if Anne Hathaway, JGL, Hardy, or Bale give the best performance. Anne Hathaway flirts the line between sexy and vicious very well. She is a bad broad. She captures the ambiguity of her character very well and looks sexy as hell in her get-up. JGL is basically the heart of Gotham during the film. He is a young cop who quickly earns the respect of Gordon during this time. His character is VERY important to the story. Bale gives his best Batman performance yet. The voice is perfect the entire time and you see him go through several
changes as a person in this film. Hardy is a bad bad dude. His performance is truly brillaint when you consider the obstacles of the mask. There are a few takes that the audio seems a little off from his expressions but all in all, he is great. The emotion he shows with his eyes, particularly towards the end is really something.

The score, cinematography, and editing are top notch. I unfortunately did not watch this in the best of theaters and that may have taken away from some of the brilliance of it. I can't wait to watch it again in IMAX, because there are several scenes that were obviously paired down for the smaller screen.

Rest easy everyone, Chris Nolan has outdone himself and has created a masterpiece. This may go down as one of the best movies ever. Certainly in my top 10 for best movies I've ever seen. If this does not break the mold and win Best Picture, no comic book movie ever will.

Let the flaming begin.

I'm glad the first bit isn't spoilerish, because that's all I read.

Just finished a re-watch of Dark Knight today. Still love it, but I do admit it's somewhat strangely balanced. I like it for that, tbh, it's not a typical arc per se. But I wonder if DKR will be better balanced, like Prestige and Momento were.

Pfister was referring to the entire production team having their favourites. He didn't explicitly imply a disagreement between Nolan and himself.

Nolan has said on numerous occasions that he feels he topped Batman Begins with The Dark Knight. As recently as last December, Nolan implicitly referenced the fact that he sees TDK as having set a very high bar for TDKR: http://movies.msn.com/paralleluniverse/christopher-nolan-interview/story/across-the-universe/

"The Dark Knight" left off in a very interesting way that satisfied audiences. So it's a huge risk to come back and make another one. I can't say for sure that it's going to be a better film than the last one, but I do know that it's a film I care deeply about and that a lot of people have put a huge amount of passion into.

whatever man the actor was terrible and he was a bad two face. I know he had to be in the movie seeing how joker made him... still the best thing in the movie wasn't in the movie all the much.(Joker) The boat scene was weak also...Also lol at you guys you know you've seen the other two a lot lol.....

What people are actually afraid to admit is that Eckhart is the best actor in the movie, and his character arc was far more interesting than anyone else's. The only thing that made me want to punch him (and Bruce) in the face was the attraction to Rachel, she's not worth shit.

My biggest problem about TDK when I came out of it was that they killed him off after he had only just become Two-Face, but in the end I kind of "get it" that Joker was the actual villain and that Two-Face was just a tragedy, a product of the environment. I came to respect that over time.

Why is that even spoiler texted?

There literally isn't a single spoiler in that. It's a review of the quality of the film rather than the actual content.

These statements seem to be at odds.

I am going to be furious if Nolan does something crazy like killing off batman. I would hope that someone would tell him to go fuck himself if he wanted to do that.

lol guess I just hate the guy... just never liked his acting or his face. He only made the movie weaker... I hate sequels that always have to have just one more villain. I just know I would have love it more if it was just Joker and baty

IMO he was the best thing about it, because it certainly wasn't Batman or Bruce Wayne. Joker was great, acted well and sharply written (dialogue wise) but his plans (yes, he had plans regardless of what he claims) were a bit long-winded for my tastes-- he had an impact on the story without being in it all that much.

Harvey Dent? Pretty much the main character of the movie and the only character in the movie with development.

will take Jurassic Park or Raiders ... I've seen both at least 100 times each... I can still watch them and be interested...... I really should count it as 8... 3 in the theater, 3 on bluray.... the last two times.. I was not really watching/paying attention.

well thats the joker.... :P I like two face as a villian but he just wasn't a good one at all.

That's just the thing, he wasn't really a villain in the movie. His psychology broke because of the shit that went down, but they didn't try to say that he was the film's villain. That'd be Joker, who just used Dent's tragedy to make a point or send a message. He turned Dent into that mess that he was.
