Only cause Liam Neeson is delivering the dialogue. That man can make anything seem like a good idea. His voice is so soothing and reassuring.
So based on voice the argument strength goes:
Neeson > Ledger > Oldman > Murphy > Hats> bale > Watanabe > Hardy > Caine >> Gylnhall

No, it's:

Neeson > Caine (admit it, he could convince you to do anything) > Ledger (He'd scare the shit out of you) = Hardy > Oldman > Freeman > Watanabe > Murphy > Bale > NO MORE DEAD COPS > Eckhart > >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lau >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Gyllenhal >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Holmes.

Hathaway and Cotillard jump to the top of the list if they're telling me something sexual.

Went to see Avengers and every god damn trailer for the summer was attached except for TDKR :(

Thank god the movie was awesome to make up for it.

I have this box set

Saw it again over the weekend, and had the same thing. At least this time it had new trailers for Spiderman and Prometheus. 1st time to see The Avengers, and I got the first teaser trailers for TDKR and Spiderman...

Prometheus trailer on the big screen was incredible. My wife who hasn't seen the original Alien movies and had 0 interest in Prometheus told me right after "I want to watch all the movies before we go see Prometheus".

“As you saw with Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol,” Welton continues, “using our IMAX cameras is the greatest differentiation that we can create. But, with that, we also see the possibility of different aspect ratios.” When it came to the IMAX-captured 70mm footage, which subsequently amounted to about 25 minutes of Ghost Protocol, theatrical presentations “went into the 1.43 aspect ratio, which is the ratio of our cameras, and thereby into full-screen IMAX.” Similarly, the opening bank robbery sequence of The Dark Knight was rendered in native IMAX, which Welton believes “is one of the reasons why it was so powerful and why Nolan decided to shoot over an hour of Rises with IMAX cameras.”

The previously quoted first-quarter report also references one-time costs associated with theatres so that they are indeed able to show both IMAX 70mm analog and IMAX digital. A number of highly successful theatres, such as AMC Loews Lincoln Square (New York City), Sony Metreon (San Francisco) and BFI London will be showing The Dark Knight Rises with the special ratio footage, Welton elaborates. “Both Chris Nolan and IMAX thought it was a great idea to have as many film-based screens as possible to take advantage of this powerful presentation. So we worked with another partner on developing a rail system that allows us to move the film-based equipment in and out again if there’s a digital-only release.”

They pretty much dropped the ball for TDKR when it comes to marketing. Where's my viral campaign?

Viral I guess doesn't matter. That is more for the internet followers.

But I did expect to see TDKR trailers attached to all showing of Avengers as a great way to kick-start the marketing. Who knows what they have planned but at this point while its a highly anticipated movie, it is a little under the radar. Maybe that is the plan and they will flood the market soon.

It's not WB marketing that decides if TDKR's trailer plays with Avengers, it's the theater having enough copies of it for every screen that's playing Avengers. I went to see Iron Man 1 when TDK's final trailer came out, they didn't play it. It happens all the time when a trailer is not physically attached to a movie (they only do this when it's the studio's own film).

I don't understand what this article is talking about. Was there a chance that TDKR wouldn't show on 70mm screens or something?

There are theaters that converted to digital even though they have a real IMAX screen (don't get me started!). IMAX is trying to get as many of these theaters ready to play 70mm film.

I'm sure Vegas will not be one of these, but I can always hope.

Wait if they converted, does that mean it doesn't take up the whole screen like it should? Even though the screen is there? I assume yes, otherwise why would they need to make changes to have it play TDKR film. Thank god my favorite IMAX theaters are still film.

Are you suggesting that it's all part of the plan?

This was brought up earlier before about Bale and Batman Begins (watching it now before sleep).

I really love how Bale played a tormented, committed/obsessed, and determined Bruce Wayne. The first fight scene in the prison is brilliant because of the "you are practice" line and his fight methods are just hard-bunching and brutal, like a true brawling beast

brilliant

I was really concerned about this after John Carter was shown digitally at my local 70mm Imax screen. I spoke to someone at Famous Players about it and they've told me that all their Imax screens in the GTA (Coliseum Mississauga, Scotiabank) (since I know at least a few of you are from here) are operating on dual projectors which means that they can still show TDKR in the 15/70 film format. Apparently TDKR was a major factor behind their decision to not go exclusively digital.

Why would John Carter be shown in 70mm? It wasn't shot in 70mm.
