So I had a crazy fucking dream last night. The latter half of it saw Bale and I enter a hotel room with a couple of other friends. Bale says in a very intimidating manner not to let anybody see him with a drink in his hand and to pour it out if anybody comes because he's in the middle of a shoot and can't afford to be caught drunk again. Somebody knocks on the door and as soon as I answer it, two women walk in. The first goes for my pants straight away and I immediately stop her when I realize Baleman has just ordered two high class hookers. As he starts going to town on one, the other walks over to him and I leave the room while the others watch. I walk upstairs to the roof and get into a deadly fight with the french family from Munich where we all start stabbing one another with table-forks.

The dream started out with me arriving back in LA and watching a 3D conversion of E.T on the beach.

A few quotes in the latest issue of Total Film Magazine from director Christopher Nolan about the responsibility and challenge of bringing his Batman trilogy to a proper close.

Christopher Nolan: “We feel a tremendous challenge and responsibility to finish our story. We have to give the audiences something they haven’t seen before, but also fulfill their expectations of what they enjoyed in the first two films. That’s the tricky balance.”

“With a sequel there is always the challenge of trying to meet or indeed exceed expectations. And some of those are based on the size, scale and world of the film. We traveled to many different places because we wanted to give it a broader canvas.”

RDJ (Ironman) on TDK:
"My whole thing is that that I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I feel like I'm dumb because I feel like I don't get how many things that are so smart. It's like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I'm like, 'That's not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' I loved 'The Prestige' but didn't understand 'The Dark Knight'. Didn't get it, still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high brow and so fucking smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.' You know what? Fuck DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from."

That honestly sounds like a 13 year old Marvel fanboy, not a well respected adult actor. Oh well, I still enjoy Iron Man ,Downey, even if I can understand TDK.

I'm still not even sure if RDJ was joking after all these years given his general demeanor...

But, after RDJ's comments about 'Avengers' being more ambitious than 'Inception' I suppose he got sick of his movies being stood over by Christopher Nolan. This year, he finally gets his revenge (presumably).

I don't care for how the cowl is molded but at least it doesn't make Bale's face look fat like in BB.

Aside from that I think the suit is the best one ever. It looks really imposing. I was iffy when it was first revealed, but I've really come around. The armor metaphor works great and Bale can actually turn his head in the thing.

I disagree.
The best suit in Begins is the one Bruce is wearing before he upgraded to a suit with a cap + cowl.
The batsuit in Begins is just a bit too impractical. I just don't believe that a man wearing that suit could somehow be a world class ninja. I'm glad Nolan also saw this

Hathaway finally looks good in a Catwoman picture. She looks great in the trailer, looking forward to being pleasantly surprised by her in this.

From waist to cowl, I think the TDK costume is the best batsuit of all time. I absolutely loved the idea of chainmail under armor plates with hints of his original ninja outfit from Begins, plus it just looks badass. The legs though still look weird and look worse under certain lighting. I understand what they were going for but it just looks weird.

Yet his fighting in the Begins suit is a lot more fluid than when he's in the 'faster' suit of TDK. Did they change his fighting style? In Begins it seemed very momentum-based and animalistic, where as in TDK it seemed very judo-chop.

I think they might have changed the style of fighting completely.

On a side note. I'd like to see Bruce fight Bane without his mask in the final act.
I want to see Bruce defeat Bane. And he'll also sound a lot more human when he gives his eventual monologue just as he's about to defeat his final foe/sacrifice himself.

No! I want to see the cowl come off physically, but not mentally. I want to see Bruce act like Batman without the costume like the nutjob he is.

No, I want to see him go real batty. I want a 'swear to me!', foaming at the mouth in animalistic rage type of outcry from a cowl-less Bruce. It's about time we recognized exactly what this man is. Plus, Bale is a fucking amazing actor and hasn't been given anything really stellar to do in both of the previous films. I need to see the last straw break.

I'm almost certain this is going to happen. The trailer has already shown us that Bane knows who Batman is and that he goes on to torture him or something. It would be quite pointless for Bruce to continue speaking in his Batman voice after that.

Edit: Oops I misread that as you wanting the cowl to stay on, but to come off mentally.
