In the new issue of Rolling Stone Magazine the actor talks about what you can expect in his third and final Batman film. He also chats about what made the role so enticing to him. When he was asked about a possible fourth film in series if The Dark Knight Rises was as successful as 2008's The Dark Knight and he replied:
“No, this is the last of this Batman era. Unless Nolan wants to do another."

"Anne is marvelous, Joseph is phenomenal, and Tom is fantastic. Perhaps the hardest role was that of Anne's. “I thought that I could get something new out of the role. I was never interested in the other Batman movies, even though I liked watching the series since I was a kid, but it wasn’t anything special for me. Originally, the first installment was going to a low budget film, and that was the type of project that I wanted to be a part of. Later, it became a huge production and I thought: ‘Oh, S***’. However, when they got Chris as the director, I knew that he would make something a lot more interesting than we had ever seen. People laughed when we told them we were going to take Batman seriously. But when those same people saw the movie, they were left surprised. I am proud of these movies that we have done because, normally, in these massive production, details are lost, and these movies don’t disappoint in that aspect."

man dc is fucked if they want to do a JL movie, I knew after this one Bale wasn't going to bother with Batman anymore. They would have to reboot Batman AGAIN, hope for Snyder's Superman to be decent, and make a good The Flash movie??? damn...

DC really dropped the ball, I'd love to see an awesome live-action JL movie but I guess the cartoon series would have to do for now.

Eh they should leave the crossovers for the animation. Easier to believe. Avengers was great but this isn't a zero sum game.

Good I'm all for another Batman reboot. I just hope he doesn't just copy Nolan's style too much. Nolan did his job he's done, good.

I'm like the footage in these tv spots and all but I really am getting so sick of the lines already. SHUT UP ANNE HATHAWAY

They could always just recast everyone specifically for a JL movie... Though it wouldn't get people as hyped as Marvel's strategy did.
 
The image of Bruce screaming is great. Can't wait to see that in context. Looks like this film's channeling that same feeling of raw emotion that The Dark Knight had.

I'm guessing it's a reaction to someone being killed, someone he knows or comes to know during his time in captivity. We've only seen one dude so far though, that guy who says "rise" in the first trailer.

A good Flash or Green Lantern movie is hard to make because at their best the current holders of the title (the main title) are more boring versions of Superman. (Compare this to the dynamic the Avengers had, best seen in the argument scene.)

A Wally West movie would be as easy as simply adapting "The Human Race" by Grant Morrison. Maybe throw in him running from Death afterwards too.

I saw a neat theory on another forum (speculation, to the best of my knowledge):

We see Bruce attempting to climb out of that giant pit multiple times in the different trailers. Maybe every time he fails to "rise", someone within the cell is killed. So yah..maybe he's reacting to Tom Conti's "rise" character being executed. Bruce has a rope attached to him, so obviously climbing was somehow involved.

I'm not going to jeopardize the Kane/AJ klique alliance, so I'll just say Batman does plenty of crazy shit in the comics. Combining that with some of the terrorizing ninja stuff in the trailer = perfection.

That sounds Machiavellian and evil and interesting, but why would Bane allow the chance for Bruce?
