The Dark Knight Rises Unsafe (?) Hype Thread |5 Spoiled, 2 Of Them Mods!|

I think it's gaming scans that aren't allowed.

That's how I've seen it. Movie threads always post scans, and mods never said anything (or at least I haven't seen them say anything).

If it's really not allowed, I'd like to be given the heads up instead of getting an out of nowhere ban lol.

I don't get a lot of the hate that Anne Hathaway gets. Yeah, she might not be as curvy as some people want Selina to be, but she is beautiful. And she's also a damn fine actress. She's more than proven herself both on film and on the stage, which most screen actors can't do well. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if she really does steal the show in this one. She is definitely what I'm most excited about.

"Look, I appreciate that I am five-foot-nine and I weigh 185 lbs wet-through with bricks in my pockets. But there's a certain level of militancy and violence and damage that I guarantee you I'm gonna bring to this."Hardy suddenly brings his first down on the table between us, "I guarantee it."

He's already fucking convinced me

Uma was so hot in that movie. The most consistent thing about those four Bat films was the trim. Hathaway is looking damn good as well.

Spoilers for the ending are being posted around the internet folks. Stay cautious...

Not sure if it's "hate" or "complete lack of confidence".

You're rather forced to compare her to Michelle who was just about as prrrfect a catwoman as you're going to get. I feel the same way here and there because of what I've seen in the trailers. My personal "meh-ness" comes from the fact that she's not really coming off as catwoman but as some women stealing things whose super googles happen to have cat ears on them.

woah... deja vu big time over here.

She seems awesome to me. Then again I'm wise enough to not have a pre-conceived notion of how Catwoman should be. This is Nolan's take on the Batman universe. She is whatever he makes of her, and if it fits it fits, a good character is a good character. Fuck how michelle played her and fuck how the tons of different comics choose to portray her at any different time.

could turn out weird, but so far so good. Like what I'm seeing.

edit: I should be clear that selina does have an outline of how she should be, and so far it sounds like he is following that outline.

Michelle is only perfect if you actually never read a Catwoman comic.

Most people who grew up on Burton's version of Batman think it's representative of the comics.

Which is why when BB came out, I heard some people asking why Joker didn't kill Bruce's parents.

And I like Hathaway as much as the next guy as she was amazing is Devil Wears Prada but I don't really believe yet. First time I've had this experience before seeing one of these films so this is me explaining my own personal hang ups with the choice.

Wait, so you guys, who have been amassing and compiling every scrap of a fragment of a piece of an on-set jpeg, script leak, interview, leaked footage for nearly four years:

A.) Don't already know how the movie ends despite knowing every other detail about it

B.) Don't want to know how it ends even though that's arguably the most predictable part of the movie, of which you've spent four fucking years devouring any bread crumb that may have found it's way to this thread?

Ok.

Ok.

Maybe he's warning people other than himself who more sensitive to spoilers? They are posters with different degrees of spoiler knowledge here (I know shocking that we aren't a collective).

And if the ending is so predictable, I'd love to hear your speculation so we can revisit it in two months.

Probably not the right thread to ask, but what is GAF's final say on the "plot hole" in BB where the microwave vaporizes water in pipes but not humans?

I also think there's something to be said for the fun of trying to piece together bits of officially released media and how those fit together vs. finding "Bane kills Batman, Catwoman replaces him at the end" spelled right out for you. Still leaves some mystery.

That it's not some obscure fact that people are made of water, and it obviously occurred to the filmmakers, because everybody knows it. So, they clearly decided that it didn't matter.

That's not really fair to say is it? I only mentioned Burtons Batman but we've had other examples.

Batman the animated series
The original Adam West Batman
The Arkham games

And in each case, Catwoman was played in a very particular way and this seems like a very different take on it but not for the better (so far from what I've seen which is nothing). They may be different than the comics but that doesn't really matter since these are the versions most people have consumed over the years. The comics almost don't matter. I felt the same way about Scarecrow personally. At the end of the day he was just some doctor who put a burlap sack over his head.

"focused" microwaves is the science mumbo jumbo they used that is glossed over by most people as if it really matters,

That's one of those "heh... science?" plot holes. I was always bothered by the fact that Batman was so ok with killing dogs personally.

He like... didn't care at all.
