I hope this isn't Wally's final job as a cinematographer.

Just rewatched BB to celebrate dat 7 year anniversay. Still the absolute dopest of the dope. The first 65 minutes, from WB logo through to Falcone on the floodlight/panoramic view of Batman in the Gotham skyline is sheer perfection. There is so many great little touches in this. Like Bruce's seething rage during Chill's trial, and Bruce taking his mask off after giving Rachel a sedative, and of course "I never said thank you"/"and you'll never have to". The final scenes are note perfect for the exact reason that they all feel 100% earned. Great, great movie.

You just reminded me of one silly thing about BB:

'I understand there's a member of the Wayne family here. Does he have anything to say?'

Real appropriate, judge. Is this a fucking hearing or what?

yea i am sure they are. i like the chase scenes in the batman movies but i always wanted them to have a greater sense of speed.

None of them are moving fast at all, sadly. The bikes from TDK and TDKR due to not really being made to be driven fast with maneuverability, and the Tumbler due to.......shit, I don't know, that thing should be a lot faster than the crawl it does.

is that how the scene actually plays out in the movie? i mean i guess it's worse because ther eis no audio but shit .... she is going slow.

Kind of reminds me of the end scene for The Dark Knight, with Batman driving off on the Bat-pod. This looks very somber with the sun rising.

isn't that weird, though, considering that the tumbler was designed so that it could be easily driven in a dense urban environment?

Tumbler is awesome. Batpod sucks. Stop wasting our time with the pod and give us some more of Tumbler crashing through things.

No, batpod is awsome and so is the tumbler. Seeing Batman race down to stop that truck was great.

I hope the BAT doesn't disappoint.

Don't mind them, anything in Dark Knight sucks and everything in Begins is great.

The Batpod is awesome, and is some creative as hell engineering. The crew behind building the tumbler and batpod do not get enough credit.

I liked the bat-pod in TDK, because it was a cool emergency backup vehicle. I just don't think I like it as a default vehicle which is what it seems to be in TDKR.

Well, considering it looks like Bane's got Tumbler's, I dunno, might be weird if Batman got another one too. Plus I like the continuity.

There's also The Bat, don't forget.

It was used 3 times in that film and Alfred suggested using it a 4th time. Although I'm not disputing it's a backup vehicle.

I think Batman will only use it once in this film and the rest will be Catwoman.

Rewatching Batman Begins, and I know Bruce was the one that made them leave the opera and all... but it was kind of a dick move by Papa Wayne to take his son (with his crippling fear of bats) to a show that involved people dressing as Bat-like creatures.

Also, why take them through the dirty gross alley in like the skeeviest part of town? What the fuck, Thomas Wayne? And why build an opera there?

End of Batman Begins:

Gordon: I never said thank you.

Batman: and you'll never have to.

End of The Dark Knight:

Gordon: Thank you.

Batman: You don't have to thank me.

Gordon: Yes I do.

It's like poetry, it rhymes.
