Are there any legit spoilers out for this yet? I hated TDK and would be appreciative if someone could PM me if a certain character will be in this. Thanks brahs.

Does anyone else remember an interview with Hans Zimmer around pre TDK release where he talks about a true theme for Batman, how it would be slowly introduced and layered soon, and that it'd be present in a small amount in TDK but wouldn't be fully revealed until the third movie?

Yeah. I remember that interview. Makes sense, because when Batman's first shown in TDK the brass theme from BB is accompanied by an adapted (and at a couple of tones higher) melody from Danny Elfman's version (I swear to god it is...it cannot be a coincidence!).

Heck, if one wants to be really liberal in overinterpreting Zimmer's theme, the pizzicato arpeggio in it could be a reference to the guitar intro from the 60's Batman.

I'd do a mashup where I sample them all if I could make it sound right.

I used to think the last part of the opera music in Batman Begins was a partial homage to the Elfman music but I don't know a lot about music. It's most likely a coincidence. :P

So, I just spotted a new synopsis has been posted.

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.

But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

Nothing super duper new, however it did catch my eye that apparently
immediately after TDK Bruce stops being Batman

…then Gotham passes the Harvey Dent Act, an arguably quite extreme anti-crime bill – a bit police-state:ish, but it successfully curbs crime for eight years until Bane shows up. Who, then in turn, shows Gotham what real fascism is.

Kind of disappointed that this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqF8lcKTLw0&feature=player_detailpage#t=46s

Does not appear to be in the soundtrack so far.

I believe the teaser music was a more subdued rendition of Zimmer's work from this track (I've linked to the part where it's most recognizable):

That specific part was credit music in TDK; I'm not actually sure if it ever appeared in the film itself. I hope it's in TDKR because it's a great piece.

That picture is awesome. It might seem kind of cheesy in other films or universes, but Gotham has always been such an incredibly desperate, crime-ridden place. If there is any city where it makes sense to put in such extreme anti-crime measures, as well as make an official holiday out of a DA who put a legitimate Dent in the mob, it's Gotham.

I also like how it mentions that the job is almost done. Perhaps Batman's dream of returning Gotham to glory will be fulfilled by the end of the trilogy.
