While im here, not that i consider myself savvy to Nolan films, but does anyone else think they have a pretty decent idea how the films going to work? Save a few minor details and the absolute ending im thinking:

Batmans not batman anymore, its supposed peacetime, Bane comes in, Bane wants to see the end of Gotham, Batman forced back probably before he is ready, gets his ass kicked, finds a reason to keep trying, succeeds in the end but to a cost.

Not that this model is bad, but i would critique it slightly for being somewhat predictable, there are some things i know for certain such as castings etc that i wont go into that pad out the story.


Interested to hear if anyone else thinks the same.

Less concerned with what the story is and more concerned with how he presents it.

This seems like the Bats story arc if you are going by the trailers.

Bat comes back too soon, loses to Bane in that water/tunnel area. He goes off and does whatever to get back in shape. During that time winter falls on Gotham, it becomes No Man's Land then the Bat comes back and fights Bane on the courtroom steps.

That's just his arc, there seems to be a lot of other shit going on in Gotham at that time.

Fucking 2 hours and 45 minutes of shit to be exact. I'm all about the broadcast TV cut. Make this thing fit into a 2 hour time slot with commercials.
 
I don't think the courtroom fight is the final fight, since BB and TDK trailers didn't show the final battle and the courtroom fight's been in like every trailer.

I keep thinking that passes for advance screenings are going to pop up any day now. If I recall correctly, Advance passes for TDK popped up the week before release. I'm still hoping they do it again for this one.

I certainly hope not, I would be pissed off if Nolan showed off the final climax of the film.

But considering his track record with trailers showing spoilers, I have faith.

Every movie I see these days has a trailer for The Dark Knight Rises attached. Always sucks away excitement I had to be watching the feature presentation.

There's also a Frankenweenie trailer with every movie. Fuck that trailer. And it's in 3D, so it comes after The Dark Knight Rises, which levels me out and gets me back in the moment.

I've been seeing Frankenweenie infront of EVERYTHING. even Prometheus, that was the most odd.

Also at the Mall I saw some TDKR posters and action figures and stuff at Barnes and Noble and I kinda wanted a Bane and Batman figure.

I want a 20 minute sequence of batman perched on gargoyles inside a steel mill as he stealthily takes down goons who have taken up a hostage. Only to have a goon go insane and shoot the hostage and the movie is over with a Bane monologue "pendejo, I've broken you!"

I've been wondering...how is Bruce able to climb building (and in this movie's case bridges) without someone noticing him or trying to arrest him? And what's the tactical advantage of being on top of a fucking bridge? He's way too far to actually try to get someone, and he's a wide open target to Bane's goons! Sure it looks cool, but at what cost Batman? AT WHAT COST?

I've never really been able to enjoy TDK's score outside of watching the film for whatever reason, but I'm really loving these samples, so it seems like this may end up being far more listenable on its own, which is great.

The B&R Batgirl suit is hilarious because they couldn't have her bat-nipples hanging out, so they made a weird faux-bra for the faux-nipples.
