Is there even a conceit behind Batman 3? Did Nolan even guarantee one, or did he just hint at the possibility?

The guy who runs Batman On Film seems pretty sure about Nolan and crew returning and he's pretty well connected to the situation.

They're probably saving the Batman 3 announcement until right when Inception is done and ready to be released. They did the same thing with The Prestige and TDK (TDK was officially announced in Aug 06, The Prestige came out Oct 06).

History tells us that the chances of this are incredibly unlikely. Even moreso in this case because of the worldwide jizz in your pants effect TDK had. Personally I still flip back and forth regularly between preferring BB or TDK. Currently Im in a phase of liking BB more.

Oh come the fuck on, Jedi was a great movie. Jabba's Palace was great, the space fight was great and gave us a meme for all time, the part with the Emperor, Darth and Luke was great, the new Death Star was a great visual, and the speeder chase was pretty badass too. So the Ewoks are kinda lame, so what? Still a fun movie with great parts to it.

I can honestly say I trust Nolan far more than any of the directors of those films....yes even more so than Spielberg.

Nolan will take his sweet ass time and put together something he feels is adequate, no rush, no studio pressure, nothing. Just let the master do his thing and he wont dissapoint.

Am I expecting or believe that the third could be better than Dark Knight? No, but I'm pretty sure Nolan will do whatever it takes to make a film thats damn close to that caliber.

I mean, I'm rational. Raiders of the Lost Ark is probably the greatest action movie of all time and is "better" than Temple of Doom. But I fucking love Temple of Doom.

Calling Last Crusade better than Temple of Doom is fine, but saying it's better than Raiders or that Temple was a bad movie? I can't stand for such imputence!

Temple is an excellent no bullshit action film. Absolutely rock solid. Raiders is pretty much perfect outside of the end, but Temple is still excellent. Great action sequences.

The fuck? Raiders is a quintessential action/adventure film. The oddly relevant thing is, I often liken TDK's structure being similar to Raiders.
