Fuck.

I was actually kind of hoping Nolan would take some time off, maybe do another smaller film like "The Prestige" in between. I don't know, after TDK's spectacular success, if he starts doing this so soon the expectations are going to be simply impossible, and it's also going to be impossible for them to keep a lid on it like they did with TDK.

Don't freak, this is exactly what happened with TDK. That script was written at the end of 2005.

Fuck that. Goyer may not take anything else seriously (Jumper lol) but he was a big part of why Batman Begins was one of the leanest scripts around. I wouldn't want it written without Goyer in the process.
I agree. While Goyer has been......sporadic in the quality of his scripts, I believe that he is vital to the essence of the recent Batman resurgence. And besides, that why we have Chris and Johnathon Nolan: to keep Goyer in check.

He voices some really thin prisoner and speaks two really cheesy lines as he stabs people:lol

They were just using a voice clip from Sopranos as lip sync test material to animate the characters to.

Goyer will provide some comic book insight, but the script proper will be written by the Nolan brothers I bet, just like TDK.

According to three separate BOF sources, director Christopher Nolan’s recent deal with Warner Bros. for the film INCEPTION, at least includes an agreement between the studio and the acclaimed director to helm his second sequel to BATMAN BEGINS.

BOF was told last Fall that two of the Batman writing trio -- David Goyer and Jonah Nolan -- had already inked deals with Warner Bros. for a third BATMAN. At the time, it was believed that Chris Nolan had not signed on for BATMAN 3 but was “close” to doing so.

Recent reports online certain seem to jibe with this as industry scuttlebutt says that the script for BATMAN 3 is already being written (BOF via IESB.NET - 1-30-09). BOF has been told by several movie biz folks that Goyer, Jonah Nolan, and Chris Nolan have come up with a story/treatment and it is now in the hands of J-Nol for the first screenwriting pass -- very similar to what occurred for THE DARK KNIGHT.

Yeah, how hard was that meeting for getting Inception picked up by WB?

Nolan: "So, Batman 3, absolutely, but as part of the deal I'd like your support on this other project..."
WB: "Done."
Nolan: "But I haven't even told you anything about Inception."
WB: "Don't care. Done."

Shit just got real. Now all we need to do is clone Heath Ledger so he can reprise his role.
I fuckin told you already, he plays an integral role in our zombie plotline for our script, BB3:TDK2: In the Dead of the Knight.

Okay but his body no longer exists. You'd have to recreate his body somehow, even if it's dead. I say we clone him and then kill him once he's filmed the movie Prestige-style.

Edit: That is of course assuming he can bring himself to work with Christian Bale. What a piece of scum that guy is huh?

You don't have to keep the game, dude. everyone knows Heath wasn't cremated. He's in my downstairs freezer.

My wishes came true.

Wow, Warner must be sitting pretty. They'll back Nolan on any project just to be sure he is on board for Batman 3.

They already did.

Christopher Nolan has set up his next project with Warner Bros., an original screenplay he wrote called "Inception." The "Dark Knight" director hopes to shoot the sci-fi action film in the summer for a release during summer 2010.

What movie do you do after your previous makes $1 Billion? Anything you want!

5. Wall-E (220-240 mil)

lololool. Batman won't even be in the top 3 grossers of the year sadly. Indy, Iron Man, and Potter 6 will beat it.

never forget

I think most ppl expected better #s than Begins but the hype it received right before release with some amazing reviews, Heath, and then just from the good word of mouth from BB carried it way beyond.

Plus it is Batman and I firmly believe he is the most beloved comic book character. The previous Batman movies might have soured ppl but once ppl knew this was different they came in large #s.

Oh Cheebs and his Joseph Libermann avatar. Libermann is wrong all the time, I am not surprised that Cheebs is too.

AW HELL YEAH

...to be honest it doesn't feel as awesome as when Begins limped its way to 200 million domestically, but whatever!

I agree. I remember towards the end of its run going to see it a couple of times just so that it could be pushed past 200 million. :lol That was fucking nerdy. It crossing 200 million though was its sure fire way of Nolan to do the sequel and Ra's Al Ghul was my favorite Batman villian anyways and I liked the way they made him. I do hope he eventually returns with Talia being a front at first. Maybe not the next one but perhaps in the 5th one if Nolan keeps on making them.

Anybody else kind of just forget about this movie? I have had no desire to re-watch it since its release on blu-ray. The more I think about it, the more I think I may have enjoyed Batman Begins more ........

I was actually listening to the music just earlier today. I also planned on watching it, but I had things to do.

I haven't watched it since I saw it in the theater just once. For some reason I really can't stand watching a movie more than once if I've seen it recently enough to remember the majority of it. I have a DVD copy, but will probably watch it next year or something :P I'm like that with every movie, even one that I liked as much as TDK.
