Hows the game now? I played for a couple of months at launch, but after the raid was released I just quit. I'm thinking of coming back. Still maining D2, just thinking of trying this again.

cant comment on the quality of the game in its current state but it’s not even in the top 50 most played games on Xbox live. Which is bad news for game that depends on having a playerbase for its success.

More bizarre when they have actually been releasing new content and it doesn’t lead to any kind of player surge like you’d expect.

meanwhile fallout 76 hasn’t had new content since early summer and is more played.

Division 2 tanking the way it did is just... whatever they did it to themselves by making ghost recon the same thing

Writes a lot, says very little

I think its cause most people tend to really exaggerate the dislike for Fallout 76. Its no that bad and gamers in general seem to have this weird thing of pretending anything they dislike is the end of the world or something.

That being said, I expected The Division 2 to be more played as it seems like a game where you really need a lot of people like team play and stuff and its a game that has all free content. So I'm surprised as I thought Ubisoft did a good job on making, releasing etc. I hope next gen they consider just releasing Division 3 and just updating it every year or something. Crazy, but maybe thats what they need right now. Not everyone wants to jump in to some new MMO every 2 years or something.

If anything they can look at ESO as an example.

Maybe they're refunding all purchases and cancelling it? A guy can dream cant't he?

I played the two games back to back recently and... Division 2 sucks so bad. The first game is so much better. I'm not sure why they decided it was a good idea to release this POS instead of an expansion (Brooklyn? Uptown?) to the first game.

I got up to level 500 and kinda just never really cared to come back. The environments are pretty sweet. I kept commenting about how every area we went into was so intricate, but ultimately, it feels a little lackluster anyway. You can just feel the development. One team makes this, another makes that, and then they're jammed together like LEGOs.

Hey, I got a copy for like $10 and played like 60 hours. I can't complain too much. Though, they really fucked up the lighting. Some areas were abusively dark with or without the "neutral lighting" option they had to add because of how broken it was.

Played for just under 3 hours last night and it's a little better than I remember the Beta being. I only really played the story missions because I remember being underwhelmed by the side content. It was nice and fluid but still a step below the set pieces of Division 1.

Reshade is absolutely mandatory here. Without it, it's one of the most washed out ugly color palettes ever

I’ve tried downloading it twice Today on PSN... the download keeps failing like 18% in. And I deleted two decent size games to make space for it and it’s definitely not a hdd space issue. Kinda weird.

“can not download Data corrupted”

if anyone has a suggestions aside from reformatting the console i’d appreciate it. Never had this problem before And definitely NOT wiping my PS4 for this game.

Any tips on skills and weapons? I'm level 7 on PS4 and it's fun but I'm wondering if I am spending my points and time in the right way.

Dont worry about it for now. You'll be swapping gear out so often until you reach 30 and then you'll have the bonus from the specialisation tree as well.

Just concentrate on levelling with weapons you like for now and building your calibration and talent library up.

Always have the revive hive equipped then the other skill just choose summat you like.

I had just barely hit lvl 30 and hadn't finished everything before I put this down...and I am beyond lost coming back to this for the new DLC. I guess I need to finish up some of these priority things on my list since I think I was just collecting the caches and wandering the map last I played. I am at a total loss for remembering anything about crafting and items though. I may need to roll out a new character just to get the tutorial part of the game again :/

Man it sucks relearning the game again. Been playing on and off at work using Geforce Now. Will be getting the Expansion tomorrow.

So it looks like “World Tier 5” is something being left behind. Difference playing last week and this morning is stark. I feel more like a mage going 6/6 Tech than ever before; and I think I like that you can glass-canon yourself into barely usable niche roles.

Last week my cluster balls had something like +150% damage and +6 balls; I could wipe out every red on screen every thirty seconds and moderately damage purples.

Now it only says +60% damage and
+7 balls total; but it’s more deadly than it’s ever been before, for far less effort. It’s killed some purples in one shot; took down those annoying Black Tusk dogs to half-health.

Skills that were lacklustre seem like they’ve been brought up to the cluster ball standard. Overall, I appreciate the meta-change.

No, no and no.
I just played it myself. What a load of horseshit. Bad final boss. Annoying confrontations with the hacked gadgets. Shit twist. Shit final cinematic. Cringey dialogue the entire time;
Why can’t. You. UNDERSRAND?”
“Do you REALLY trust your agents?

Me and my friend were like “Fuck off mate, you have a missile. We don’t even know your motive for anything. How about telling us what your problem is instead of being a tosser about it.” and then we got his shitty bright yellow watch to wear. I’m pretty sure we already had a watch, it’s dumb.

Oh boy, after killing the big tosser that basically orchestrated most of the problems in the world, who has teased us for four years; we get introduced to: Random Lady! No motive. No plan. No threat. Just a piece of shit calendar to look forward to running the same missions again but with a different yellow-bar at the end?

The more you think about it the less sense it makes. The first game, each faction made sense. There was the clean up crew that went mad; the prisoners; a literal gang; and a misguided military. The rogue agent aspect made sense because network coverage was down in certain areas, meaning humans could get away with being selfish assholes without being caught. But then you track down one particularly selfish asshole.

But now, what? There is some evil Division that all unite in being selfish and against their own people? If they are so massive and numerous, why even hide it? Who is our boss? If it is Faye why not just keep calling it Division and just do our orders instead of forming a separate evil version? Why would people employed by a company at all levels decide to make a separate evil company and all agree to kill their old co-workers? See I honestly thought we would join the red watches permanently after this expansion; and join Keener in fighting corruption or something, but there is no motive at all for anyone doing anything.

I’m so mad.

Apparently not? Is she some pre-existing character then? I didn’t recognise her and I can’t manage to find anything online about her.

So I’m sorry for the vent, I like the gameplay and up until that last mission I liked the story.
Lol she's Faye Lau, the person who sent you to missions and guided you through the whole stuff in the first game.

See this:

Oh I didn’t mean Faye, I meant the burned face lady from the new season. I assumed she was a new character.

But also Faye’s twist is the dumbest thing; because if she is our boss essentially then who is she rebelling against? Did we not follow her own orders well enough? Who are her troops if not us?
