Yes, exactly what I did just now. It doesn't charge you until it would ship, and the emails with the codes were almost instant for me.
After you get the code, just go to Your Account > Your Orders and cancel the item from there.

I got mine from Game.co.uk. Worth a shot.
I pre-ordered it over 12h ago from Amazon Germany and still nothing.
Can you cancel on GAME easily? Recently the cancel button seems to have vanished...
You have to do it through their chat. It's annoying.

Amazon still haven't sent me a code. I can't use Game as they always reject my card for some reason.
Right, got a code through GAME and redeemed. When will Ubi send the Alpha codes?
Took seconds for me to get that, check mail I guess. Should be there.
I think i'm going to give them until 16:00 gmt +1.

It's downloading now. Oh man i am curious how this plays and looks. It looked damn damn fine in those brief Xbox One videos recently, but does it truly look like that? We will find out.

I was able to cancel it right there on the order page.
How did you get to chat? It's greyed out for me.
I googled Amazon Chat and there I was. Picked my order, the nature of my question and then it started.

Tried amazon chat on UK, "Please wait 48 hours to receive your code" 
I tried to do that and i sent in an e-mail support ticket as the Chat option is greyed out for me.. this was the reply i got:
Dear Customer
Thank you for contacting Amazon.de.
Yes I can in deed confirm that you are eligible for the closed beta and that you will get your BETA-Code shortly via an automated email.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will gladly assist you.

It should be there for you soon I did mine this morning and it took about an hour til the order confirmation and the code in seperate e-mail came through. They both came at same time so if you didn't get order confirmation yet it'll more than likely be there soon. If you did get confirmation I would check all your folders and if it's not anywhere get back in touch with them and tell them you got one but not the other. After putting code in on The Division site that code came in almost immediate.
I got the Order Confirmation e-mail 2 hours ago. Since then, no Division key.

Got my order confirmation about 15 hours ago and still nothing, so you might need to be quite patient
My amazon (uk) chat said I should get it within 24 hours

You are right. I overlooked it.
If anyone wants the code within minutes. Just use Game UK. Cancelling is actually easy.
Does it work if i live in Finland?
Pretty sure it would. I'm not in the UK either and I got the code instantly.
