Like many others I have a real hard time enjoying any other game right now, so the open beta is a life saver to lessen the wait.

Anyone that bought the game from Nuuvem and can tell me if it's region locked or not?

Keys have not been released from Nuuvem. Afaik, Ubisoft does not do run locks on Uplay games. They do have activation locks but that can be bypassed via VPN, though whether or not The Division has it is hard to say.

Russian copies only have Russian Language however.

Sorry if its already been answered...but I still have the PC version closed beta files present in my uPlay folder but the division icon is nowhere to be found (it was previously listed in my games list in an expired state)

Have they confirmed we will be able to update from the closed beta for the PC version as well ?

This video on attributes and this one on builds has me excited at the possibilities of dungeons/raids. It's so weird to see the holy trinity of healer/tank/dps in a shooter setting. Really highlights what we've been told about The Division being an RPG first and foremost.

Since everyone gets their own instance of their Base of Operations, I wonder if we'll be able to customize it at all? "On the next edition of MTV Cribs/The Division edition, see how these agents pimp out their home base in style"

Yep, I'm losing it

How popular do people reckon this game is actually going to be? Neogaf seems pretty positive and so do places like the official forums, but the reddit seems very split, and from my perspective, whenever I speak to anyone about this game the beta seems to have gone down as a pretty negative experience.

I mean, whenever I start lobbies in games I ask people about what they've been playing, what they think of x upcoming game, etc, and thus far I've only heard one guy, and myself respond even remotely positively on The Division. Even many of my 'buy anything' friends are pretty negative on this one, and I'm not entirely sure why. I'm pretty neutral, I can see The Division for its pros and cons, but some of the hatred I've heard for this game is unreal, and I'm not using that word unjustly, some people seem to absolutely hate the experience on offer here. It's kind of funny, because I'm not the games biggest fan but I've found myself having to interject something along the lines of 'hey wait a minute, it's not all THAT bad' on more than one occasion.

Media coverage however has grown more a little more positive, running with the notion that this is an RPG instead of a shooter, and thereby forgiving some of the arguably poor design choices.

I don't think it will amass much of a following without a good critical reception, honestly. But I think it'll get that. If I were forced to guess, I'd say it'll hit around 80 on metacritic.

Wait, completely out of the loop here. So the beta was good? Game is great?
graphics/performance were fine for me on XB1. however i was disappointed in the actual gameplay. shooting feels really awkward. way too sensitive, difficult to be accurate and enemies are bullet sponges. you feel like you are constantly reloading your gun, not hitting your target, and when you do you need a lot of shots. and you are pretty much hiding behind cover all the time. it just gets annoying/repetitive.

that said i'm still looking forward to the open beta. i'm gonna try it on PC with keyboard/mouse and see if that does anything for me. during the closed beta i only played about 5 hours near the end so not a lot of time. gonna give it more time and decide if i'm buying it or not.

The thought of full heal role has me salivating. Always been my jam in MMOs

Guys, bit of help here with the First Aid skill.

I didn't dabble with it much during beta, well not really in a hold down to use the targetting mechanism sort of way, I just used it as a second heal in tough spots. Anyway, if you're in cover and aim with you gun you pop out for a couple of shots, we all know this, but what happens if you're in cover and you want to use the First Aid skill to help a teammate whose like 10 or so metres away from you? Do you release from cover and stand up so that you can aim? or is it possible to aim the First Aid skill whilst still in cover?

My friend is a healer/supporter in most types of games and during beta she found First Aid to be quite bad when it came to helping other people in a firefight because she said that when you aim it you automatically release from cover, stand, target, fire First Aid to heal, during which she would be shot quite a few times. Anyone else encounter this?

Awesome, thanks for this!

Can't wait to get the full game soundtrack, music has been awesome so far.
Yeah just like World in Conflict. That game had the best fucking atmosphere partly due to the amazing soundtrack.

yea it's an issue i ran into with the first aid as well as the little remote bomb you could shoot out. activating the skill immediately stood you up out of cover.

Ah, thanks for replying. I will try it out in open beta but that sounds really impractical during a firefight.

I don't know if I should play the open beta or not - don't wanna burn myself out before release.

Oh who am I kidding, I'm gonna eat that shit up.
