I may have the two-month extension because I live in Japan, but I'm not one to put off doing my taxes. Every year it's the same thing: Nothing has changed, you can't tax our foreign earned income, we don't owe anything, kthanx, see you next year.

I've discovered (like I do every year) that I'm woefully unequipped to handle this task right away. I always forget that I need my passport handy when I fill out the foreign earned income form. And for the life of me, I can't remember my wife's SSN. Anyone else feeling the pain right now?

I did my taxes the day I received all my information in the mail and my tax return was desposited into my account last Friday. I don't see why everyone doesn't just get it over with.

I'm currently single (getting married, last year I'll be able to do so), so that makes it much easier. I do my taxes myself along with TurboTax, takes all of 30 minutes.

I'm very happy I already received my tax return, now I'll be able to have fun with that $1,000 over spring break.

I did mine last weekend with TurboTax. I'm usually one to put it off though which makes no sense cause it's like...you have your W-2s and for a lot of us, it's just money sitting there waiting to be claimed...for the people who pay, I can totally see why they'd wait.

Funny thig is, I can't claim, and I don't have to pay. It makes the tax process really annoying.

i filed my W-2s the next day after i got them. Took all of like eight minutes to do them with TurboTax for the web. i owe $800. i'm most definitely waiting until i see how i can pay the money off monthly.

Did them over a month ago. Got a refund of like $40. This freelance crap is for the birds.

Married filing jointly is the greatest. All I have to do is show my calculations.

I just finished. Took me about forty-five minutes with only pen and paper. All I need now is my wife's signature and SSN, and we're finished.

Of course, our combined incomes didn't even come close to the $80,000 dollar tax ceiling for foreign earned incomes, so, once again...no money changes hands.
