The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

I don't think I've ever hated remote play more than when using it for this game. The back panel to attack and block was a horrible idea with this off and on touch screen thing. You gotta hit it perfectly. Can't do it.

Is quest sharing possible, and if so, how do I share quests with my group? Is the group leader the only one in the group that can share their quests?

Very happy with the game thus far. Seems like there is plenty of content. Also, the emote system in this game is crazy good.

Maybe I am not right but I don't seem to see dept of field on the background when I talk to an npc on Xbox One. IIRC I saw it on some streams.

Edit: It is also weird that there is no displayed name above players.

Other than a couple issues signing in and one game freeze (Xbox), I'm really impressed! It already has its hooks in me at level 6 (~5hrs played with a couple friends last night). I think I'll be playing this game for a while. :)

How hard is it to be a tank in this game?

I only see one taunt ability in the 1h+shield line, am I missing something?

I am still debating if I want to pick up my pre ordered Imperial Edition from Best Buy. I am a big Elder Scrolls fan but I do not play MMO,s that much. Can I play it like Oblivion or Skyrim ? The closest MMO I played was Destiny

Yeah, it's just like those two. You just need a party for harder content. Soloable.

Shit. Vita layout in FFXIV is fantastic, they should copy it and add as patch (but prolly not, Vita is dead right...).
I'm hoping they change SOMETHING. Run, block and attack are on that iffy touchscreen.

Got to level 3 last night, left the Wailing Prison. Few questions:

1) Were there supposed to be weapon choices in the prison? I scoured all around and could only find a 2h Sword. Once I exited the Prison I found a Resto Staff off a random mob so there's that....(I'm a templar healer)

2) The first mission outside of the prison didn't work for me, I have to close one of those 2 portals and nothing is happening, it just keeps spawning an enemy.

I wrote this in as a complaint when they sent out the feedback surveys after the console beta. :(

All members just need the same quest active. Works like a charm. Each member must get the quest themselves first.

Nah, it's just the 2h sword. It's funny with all of the people in the starting area having that sword on their back.

Go up the hill behind the portal. You have to killt the Sentinel up there.

Ah, great. Glad I didn't miss anything, thanks Edwardo!

You're technically still in the tutorial; if you search carefully you'll find one of each weapon type in the environment throughout the instance, generally next to dead bodies or skeletons. By the time you actually get out and into the main world you can have whatever you prefer (though you'll replace it very quickly anyway so you shouldn't sweat it).

Normally you should get a tutorial pop up right before it.
Nope! Still no fucking idea what I'm supposed to do and it's not in the 'help' section of the menus because of course it isn't!

Anyone want to fill me in here? (How do I pick a fucking lock in this game?)

You use the left control stick to move the pick over one of the lock's pins, then press and hold R2 to start depressing the pin. As soon as it begins to rattle, release R2 to lock that pin into release position. To succeed you need to settle all five pins into release position before the timer expires.

Girlfriend and I just started this tonight. Ebhonheart faction, on EU.

Any advice?

It's been a blast so far, we just stumbled upon a public dungeon or something, spent the next hour killing and running for our lives.

Just run around, do quests, explore and don't forget your crafting skills.

Is there a place you can go to get crafting skills? I've found a forge but I thought there may be a quest line such as in skyrim to get used to the crafting basics. I haven't crafted a thing yet and I'm at level 5.

So my boyfriend pre-ordered and got the perk of being able to pick any race at the beginning. We have 2 ps4s in our place and mine is setup so I can use his content, but when I load up I can only choose the 3 races for each alliance. Any idea how to fix this? Or does anyone have an extra code some places were giving out that allows this? I need to join the Daggerfall pact to play with friends, but don't like the 3 races there lol

You can buy a pass in the Crown shop. Not sure how expensive it is tho. It's a pain that the perk doesn't work system wide.

Once you reach level 6 you will find these quest lines on boards close to crafting areas on the cities. Some NPCs will teach you all the crafting you would like to learn. :)

Wait, in the prison I came across and area full of pipes blowing flames and there was one of every weapon type either lying on the floor or to be looted. I got a 1h sword and 1h axe from it.

Once you leave the Wailing Prison and wake up on your room check your inventory for a pack you can open. The pack description says your name is carved on it. This pack contains a weapon that should suit your class choice. I got my first Bow from it which was exactly what I wanted (I'm a Nightblade Kajitt).

I went nightblade as well, planning on using a bow for my secondary weapon, when does that unlock?

So in the ebonheart pact, once I get out of coldharbor, what's next? I've ran all around the city, but its just random misc quests, nothing to advance the story. I even took a boat to the starter island, but no quests there either.

Douchebag. Yes, me.

Wait, is this "pack" that "sealed container covered in runes" at the top of my inventory? I've been holding onto that thinking it was a main quest item...

Those misc quests are part of the overall story of the cities you encounter. However once you reach level 5 you unlock the next main quest from the Prophet. You unlock main quests by leveling up to a certain point. Meanwhile you have to engage on these "misc quests" as you called them.

Yes, if you open it you will see some random items and a weapon.

Thank you! It was so different from any other lock picking in TES that I had no idea what to do.

I played for about 6 hours last night.. DC on PS4 Sorcerer. I grouped with some buddies.

WOW.

this game is good, I feel bad for people expecting Skyrim because its not that, no even close. Its much more an MMO (guild wars 2) wrapped with an ES skin.

the world is huge, the quests are whatever.. some are decent some are boring but you always feel like you are making progress and exploring someplace new. The population is a huge problem right now but that's to be expected.

I am a little overwhelmed with the skills and what decisions I need to make. However I am trying to not get hung up on the min/max rout and just playing the game.
