Pretty much! 😂

But look at the latest update! It's crazy that Reddit would come down so hard.

Freefolk never had any of this nonsense.

We’re all done now and it was an absolute blast. It was so good to be together. I mean, we’re all very, very close anyway. We try to get together once a year for Christmas, but during COVID we weren’t able to do that, so being able to get together at the end of last year and the beginning of this year was really cool for us.

And then to put on our space suits and play these characters again! We all thought the ship had sailed on a conscious goodbye. When me made our last movie, Nemesis in 2002, we expected there to be another one, and then things changed. So this was a great gift to us. This season of Picard is a love poem to Next Generation and we get to see these people that we grew to know and even love at this new point in their lives.

It was a lot of fun on so many levels. I also get to work with my kid: my daughter, Mica, plays one of Geordi’s two daughters. So the whole storyline really is about the next generation of The Next Generation in many respects.

Zimmer frames at the ready

(despite which I am enjoyed the latest series on Amazon prime)

So, uh, apparently some people have seen early versions of these episodes already. Including some of the biggest NuTrek critics. Hmm.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

If you watch season 3 you are part of the problem.
This is true, and yet I will still watch it. I dreaded every new episode of the second half of Picard season 2 and I still watched that shit. I hate myself for doing it, but I can’t help it.

They're older than the TOS crew was during Undiscovered Country. Even DeForest Kelly was only 71 when that movie released. Shatner was only 60.
i understand that she has aged , but compared to the other old cast members she looks like a goblin in that pic

I can't bring myself to subscribe to Paramount+ after three seasons of Discovery and one of Picard. I was entertained in parts but for the most part I can't stand the story and characters in either of the shows.

I am desperate for Trek so maybe if I can do a 14 day free trial again and binge everything I'll bite but otherwise I'm never going to subscribe to Paramount+. It's the prinicple of the matter.

With this announcement and Strange New Worlds coming up no wonder the Reddit mods put r/star_trek out of action.

The r/startrek mods ban people if they criticise NuTrek on there. r/star_trek was made for friendly coat down discussion to be made..... Until the r/startrek lot went whinging and moaning to the actual Reddit admins to get r/star_trek shutdown. The r/startrek mods must be in bed with CBS and Paramount.

Reddit is in bed with big business. /r/movies has been taken over by Netflix bots and the subreddit mods have hinted that they were told by the admin team to no longer ban the bots. Same story for /r/NFL and bots that push twitter accounts.

The only good thing to come out of this will be the RLM videos.

You haven't head the bad news? They'll stop making videos about this trash because they're so terrible that they retroactively started to ruin Mike's memories of old Trek. Season 3 has nothing to offer to me now, well, maybe if I'm bored I might watch the Angry Joe videos of it, he's not as entertaining as RLM but he's decent.

I know, but the implication that Q “died“ and wont return is sad.

We didn't see it but he was once again forgiven by the Continuum.

From someone who hates NuTrek:

My hopes have been dashed before and even with cautious optimism for season 2 with it's great beginning it was a let down.

The fact that SNW's first season overall was actually something I enjoyed is the only reason why I'm not going to immediately snub Season 3 of Picard.

RMB HATES NuTrek though, trashed S2 of Picard. So him liking S3 is a good sign.

For context, he was very very very involved with Axenar, which was the Star Trek Fan Film CBS sued to shut down because it was telling the same Klingon War story that DISCO S1 was set in.

I do want a Captain Worf show though.
I'm thinking the real show potential here is Worf and Martok, in wheelchairs or at least using canes, solving mysteries at a Klingon nursing home while trying to stumble into an honorable Klingon death. Show titled "Today is a Good Day to Die".

It's part Golden Girls with the geezer comedy, part Gilligan's Island because the episodes build to what seems like should be an honorable death, and then drats some bullshit happens and they live... Sometimes it's just bad luck with their plan, sometimes a Wesley Crusher or a Sisko the Prophet shows up thinking they're doing the Klingons a favor.

The possibilities are endless.
