I may have never been so disappointed in a game and a studio. THIS is what the supposedly "veteran ex-DICE team" came up with? I couldn't finish my first match, i was so disgusted.

I am baffled how bad everything is. The scale, the ambiance, the visuals... still feels like a pre-alpha concept of a very shitty idea.

This game will be a HUGE flop and a complete disaster for Embark Studios. Damn. :(

I picked medium body type but my character looks like a chik, can I make my character look like a guy? Lol

Wish I could fully customize my controller, had to do it in the PS5 accessibility settings

going to give this a shot just because when I get a chance. I did watch some videos before but I was not a fan of what I saw initially

Stealing the cashout at the last second for the win feels so good, unless it happens to you. Been on both sides of that.

This game is so hype. The moment to moment gameplay and combat are so good.
 
You guys want to know what a casino floor sounds like? Play this game. I'm not even talking about the coin jizz everywhere but the actual beeps and chimes are exact sound cues from slot machines. Subliminal gambling cues put into a free-to-play game? That's for you to decide.

Also, does every zoomer-marketed-color-palate game need to have characters with animal ears? I guess having a murder simulator with cute cat/rabbit/panda ears makes the poison go down easier.
 
One thing I've found is the automatic region selection is broken on Ps5. I'm in NA and it tried searching for a game in the EU.

You can change the setting by hitting L1 while searching for a game.
 
First impression after 5 games. I think it's decent fun at it's core so far. The controls, it's a matter of using all my tools as I didn't instinctively use all my gadgets on command. That would have saved me at times during cashout. I only was able to use the default gun(AK) but it felt ok. Also little things like wanting to slide around things while in combat to help flank only to get melee. Remembering the buttons will come with time.

Visually it looks good and the destruction is cool. I didn't have any crashes on my PS5 but I got a weapon visual stick/glitch during the tutorial. Anyways, I set my region to NA. Crossplay seems to be off by default at least for the beta. Didn't have any connection issues on my trash internet. Will continue to play the beta periodically.

Played on PS5. One game. It's not like trailers. It doesn't feel good. I'm so used to CoD, that if a MP game feels worse. I won't play it. Also, the one game I played one team was already gas bombing the cash out things. I didn't like it. Uninstalled already. I already dread all the other GAAS shooter stuff that's coming out next year.
 
First match: Turrets everywhere.
Second match: I picked the "heavy" class, every other player looked way to smaller. Quite jarring.

And that was it for me. The graphics looks good and the destruction is fine. However, the gameplay felt weird, like floaty or something, it reminded me of Hyper Scape (that battle royale game from Ubisoft), but worse.

Also, it's a Nexon game, so obviously at the main menu the game already pushed for the battle pass and other microtransactions.

Overall, I disliked the gameplay loop and I rather not play it.
 
No South American servers absolutely kills any enjoyment I might have had. Too much lag for me unfortunately.
 
Just tried it out for a match. Not really a fan of that type of announcer in any game. The graphics are pretty nice and everything seems to be pretty nice overall too. Not feeling the bait of using DLSS 3 since a game like this needs the actual performance over the appearance of performance with laggier controls. Anyways, the gunplay seems okay overall but I would need more time. Not A fan of the main mode of the game though but I appreciate someone trying to release something new/different in this day and age.

Well, I think its both that and this.

I think people need to remember, if this is ex-DICE team, why the fuck would anyone be shocked at a meh beta? Will it release with issues? well fuck yes lol Will it get the same strong long term support....who knows.

With MP titles, flops can happen. I think Finals can find its home in the MP realm, but if it does flop, I wouldn't be too shocked tbh. MP market is absolutely fucking nuts. You could be on top one minute and dethroned by some new ass MP game with 100 million users lol

I think The Finals has a better chance imho
 
Aight, I think I just had my most fun matches in a mp shooter in a loonnnnnngggg time that wasn't from the Battlefield franchise. Getting more use to the traversing and gadgets I can pretty much use them on the fly anytime instinctively. I had teammates that absolutely knew what they were doing, they definitely had to be partied up. We had some setups going. Im going to show my bros this game and see if they're interested enough to try with me. We were just going to play Helldivers 2 together but this may also be something we could play. Looking to be my first f2p game that I actively play.

Also forgot that I had Victrix Pro BFG that I could use for shooters lol. Set my thumbsticks asymmetrically and mapped my slide and melee buttons to the paddles. Instant improvement. Definitely not using my DualSense for this anymore.
