Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Can't wait for that Flash to appear in a multiverse sequence

Then Cisco says Bazinga

Then I die completely on the inside

I don't know. It felt very rushed. I wish they had spent more time in the alternate timeline. A lot of chess pieces were moved around and they didn't always feel organic. The scene with Iris, Wally and Barry in the latter's lair was especially awkward because neither Wally nor Iris behaved in a way that made sense. If I were the latter, I'd be weirded out as fuck that the man who asked me out on a date was behaving so suspiciously (and would have called the police). But nope, the plot ordains that those three need to pair up and so it goes.

It was fun premiere, but Jesus Christ. ...Barry's motivation make no fricking sense. That whole universe was far better than his own. They should have at least killed Wally instead of just leaving him wounded. Then it would make sense to reverse it.
And Reverse Flash's "Who's the villain now?!" was great line, but at that point it made zero sense.

Plus limiting the whole Flashpoint to just one episode felt like a big mistake and made the whole flow weird.

Reverse Flash' though...damn. man...best villain in Arrowverse, as he seems the only one that keeps being badass beyond his own season.

It would be kinda weird if they don't use the Kid Flash or Rival costumes much or even anymore after this episode for the rest of episode considering how expensive it costs to make them.

Interesting that Barry got dropped right back at the end of season 2, 3 months ago.

Also, baseless speculation time: Alchemy is
Eddie Thawne
.

That one literally put me to sleep - it honestly felt like an episode I'd seen at least 6 times already. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to keep watching to be honest.

Also...I find it funny that between killing Barry's mom and dropping our little stringbean looser Thawne had time to shave :D

i had fun with it but these CW-verse shows really know how to retread scripts.

was freaking hilarious when Iris gave that garbage speech on the mic to Barry, giving him "I believe in you" power once again.

Great opener.

I'm glad that Flashpoint only lasted one episode, well the main portion of it anyway. Having things go back to not-quite-normal is a great way to freshen up the characters and reboot some of their less likeable aspects and get them to interact with each other in interesting ways instead of being the tight-knit (but boring) team they had become over the last two seasons.

The Flashpoint storyline would have been such a good premise for a season, or atleast part of one. They really wasted a great premise that could have lead to some great stories. Really hope they dont end up ruining this series like they did with Arrow.

The thing with alternate timelines and parallel universes is that they never have the same level of audience investment as the main timeline. Making things permanent would turn away the audience who is invested in the characters they've known for the past two seasons. So you can't spend too long on Flashpoint/Earth-2/Star City 2046 when you know that that reality is only temporary. It's good for some fun easter eggs and watching the actors do different versions of the characters but dragging it out over more than that would wear out its welcome and leave audiences wanting to just go back to what they know.

I thought it was also smart for them to put out The Flash first and finish up Flashpoint in one episode, and THEN premiere the rest of the CW shows, because that means now Arrow tonight will take place in this new slightly alternate timeline.

Really fun episode and the extended promo shows
gas coming from her hand, I wonder how they'll handle that until epi7

For a TV show it was probably better to get the Flashpoint 'event' out of the way and focus on the repercussions. The world slightly changed, but in enough ways to keep things interesting.

Looks like it'll lead to subtle changes on Arrow and Legends,
Felicity seems basically unaffected.

People needs to stop leaving Barry alone when he's feeling upset, dude needs a watcher. It's not okay to to do dumb shit when it compromises Space-time for everyone.

"Barry everyone here loves you, please don't travel back in time"

Oliver getting Sleeves is a Flashpoint Change

Captain Cold is alive, Oliver started to feel cold and needed sleeves, Iris is cold to her Dad and from promos it looks like
Caitlin is getting her powers.
It's all thematicaly connected.

New trailer for this season.spoilers of course

https://youtu.be/fGF1E9Pfto4

This trailer feels like the show is going in the right direction with this twist...

So many different things happening to the cast, we already know Iris is estranged from Joe but then you have Caitlin getting powers and becoming Frost, Cisco having lost someone and Barry not supporting him when he needed it, Snart is alive despite dying in Legends... Oh and Harry now has a sense of humor? LOL I agree with the show thats one improvement at least XD

What I really liked was Jay Garrick really being that proper father figure to Barry in this trailer, and seems to suggest that this is the point where Barry will really learn to stop trying to fuck with the universe to get what he wants and try to make things better for himself by being a better, smarter person. As Jay said, they are not gods, they're men.
Personally I really hope this is the season when Barry really comes into his own and actually becomes the man that he ultimately is in the future its pretty damn sad that even fucking Thawn knows future Barry is smarter then him (and the show completely takes that L on his character development like a charm XD)

Hard to make too many assumptions regarding Captain Cold, it's been heavily implied in Legends interviewed that their Cold, Darhk and Merlyn are from different points in the timeline.

Anyway despite my initial misgivings this is a pretty cool set-up. Maybe Barry doesn't bumble his way through the entire season?

Alright episode. It will be interesting to see what other changes happen. Seems like a total waste if ultimately it is just another lousy reason to pump the breaks on the two seasons of Barry and Iris will they or won't they, but it is a CW show.

Reverse Flash is the best villain and my hype for Legends is higher than any of the other shows as a result. It should also explain how he ended up with Gideon.

I just hope this is the end of the time travel stuff, sick and tired of it to be honest. They've used it as a narrative crutch far too often. And if every series is Flash vs Anti-Flash then it can just bugger off. We need a different big bad.

Holy shit, that was a great fucking premiere.

Also, I thought Iris was going to be dead in that finale scene.

Huh, if I didn't know better I was getting the impression that
Earth-2 Wells and Jesse as well as Earth-3 Jay Garrick are all probably immune to the events of Flashpoint. Also I generally like the direction this seems to be going.

Also, why does it feel like R
ival is attempting to do a bad Christian Bale impression?

Yeah that seems to be the case. Next episode is called Paradox and by the looks of it the Cisco and Iris stuff will be resolved pretty quickly so it's part two of Barry's fuck ups, while Caitlin's should play until episode 7.

Also, was there a reason Thawne was bearded in Flashpoint and not in the real world?

He'd been locked up in the Flashpoint universe. Hence no shaving. When time reset, Eobard would've shaved so the facial hair went poof.
