VII goes for about 50-60 at the very highest used.

Funny thing is you can make more money selling the discs + manual + case individually :lol.
 
there's nothing wrong with giving away something valuable that you know will get used and loved if you don't need the money. but, certainly, if he needs the cash, there is money to be made with them. i think the chief concern is getting those valuable games into someone's hands who will really enjoy them, and not some chode who will just turn around after getting them free and sell them. totally not in the spirit of the thread.

I think GAF actually understands this thread pretty well. Still, it's not exactly the best sportsmanship to bring up eBaying stuff instead of giving it away for the very reason that we're solving a lot of problems with gaming's past and the price some pay to experience it right now.

At least I hope everyone's asking for games they'll play. I've got a shitload of hard-to-find stuff I'd gladly give away if I knew for certain I was through with it, but I can replay some of this stuff infinitely.

On that note, if anyone has a Sega Saturn or Dreamcast that isn't useful to them anymore, I've been slowly expanding a games collection for each over the past few years while never having actually bought the things.
 
I'm simply waiting for things I absolutely want, something I think I couldn't get even if I wanted. And I do plan on offering something up for it, even if it isn't necessarily as good.

To be honest with you, I'm not looking to sell them. After someone mentioned that they could be sold on ebay for a decent amount the first thing I thought was, "if I give this away will it just end up on ebay the next day?" That would be kind of disappointing.

I watched one used copy of FFVII non-GH in mint condition go for $85 less shipping. It could have a been a fluke, but it happens. Point is that FFVII is still over-rated. :p

It's embarrassing to say this but if anybody accidentally fell in to the trap of buying Shadow the Hedgehog for the GC or Xbox, as long as I don't actually have to pay money for it (even shipping), I might take that bleeding sore off your hands. :lol

Well hell I got ridiculed for asking for some RPGs that were hard to find :(. But anyways, since I wanted the game, I'd feel like I was cheating him if he didn't knew it was at least profitable.

Yeah I saw that, but there's got to be a few people who can seriously say to themselves they had a lot of fun with a game that's hard to find now and aren't ever going to play it again. In a sort of backwards version of that; I can't tell you how many of my friends my copy of Hotel Dusk had been through while I caught up on a few other games.

I think it was a PAL system, but that's still wild. And you're right, a Gamecube went earlier and there's a Game Gear that just recently got snatched up.

I merely pointed out that asking for a list of games that were super rare, and often get sold for high prices on this very forum was a little out of spirit.

Ask for a shitty game, a bunch of old magazines, or a Mouse or something...but highlighting a huge, fuck off list of extremely rare and valuable items stinks in my opinion.
 
as a longtime follower of a neogaf, but never poster (you guys are too intimidating :lol ), do i qualify for stuff? or is it for vet neogaffers only?:D

EDIT: if i do qualify, I'm lookin for good xbox and gamecube games (i never had either so now that i got a 360 and wii I would like to play through some classics on those systems)

Why would I ask for a shitty game when I wouldn't play a shitty game? My favorite genre, that I happen to be someone passionate about is RPGs...it's just a shame that the great titles I've missed to either being too young or not being a console gamer in my early years are so hard to get my hands on now.

I finally picked up a copy of Fire Emblem PoR 2 weeks ago, and Valkyrie Profile Lenneth today. I try to get them as I find them.

I'm still really stricken by the generosity of some users though. Fantastic thread.

I'm pretty excited to check out the Nintendo Power copies when I get them. I was too young to comprehend the stuff at the time, and I really want to see what the view on Final Fantasy VI was around time of release.

lol yeah I had my eye on that FFVII PC. Its the ONLY FF game I never managed to beat. If only this topic came up a month ago, I could've given someone Valkyrie Profile PSP.
