"From what I'm hearing, there will indeed be at least a couple blockbuster announcements (initially shared by Jason Schrier). At least one is a PlayStation exclusive fans should be very excited to see. However, at least another one of the other major announcements should indeed represent a full multiplatform release across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. It should spark a ton of excitement if true — although I'm not sure whether to expect this particular game to launch in the near term."

"However, there could be at least one announcement at The Game Awards for an Xbox first-party title that may be coming sooner than some may have previously expected."

everything sounds status quo as usual.

My only comment (not directed to you adam) is just that HL3. Like im hyped for sure, but lets be honest, theres very little a FPS like half life could add to the genre that hasnt been done ad nauseam since HL2.

Cool weapons like the Gravity gun? - Portal Gun (yes i know its valve), energy sword, grav hammer, borderland guns, titanfall weapons, etc.
atmospheric story? - Doom, Halo ( 3, etc), titanfall 2, prey, bioshock, etc the list goes on an on. - IMO this could be HL3's strongest and most achieveable feat- but tbh (i havnt played that VR game with Alex) but was the story in HL2 that great after that ending? imo if memory serves, it was like Halo 2, where it ended on a cliffhanger.
/physics: Indy Jones, Starfield, bioshock, etc.

What im trying to say, is that HL3 has a lot going against it, and if they really want to suceed, they are gonna have to showcase something incredible. which if anyone could be counted on doing, its valve.

Made a bingo card for my family, this site's pretty cool - it'll automatically scramble them for each sheet. If anyone else is needing a bingo sheet:

Happy Game Awards! :messenger_beaming:

The Xbox part in the article is followed by a picture of DOOM. Whether that's a less than subtle hint we'll see.
ah i didnt visit the site, but that makes sense too. i didnt realize doom dark ages was just listed as 2025. but yeah that makes sense too. But its not an xbox exclusive. They've (MS) have been adamant that they wont take away any existing IP that exists as multiplatform. - and regardless on your opinion on MS, they have done a really good job of that.

Agreed general feeling is we are finally getting a big boy from PS that people have been whispering about for awhile now

Why am I oddly excited for this for no reason? Maybe it's because normally the GOTY is extremely obvious every year. This is the first one in ages however where it's a complete toss up and everyone disagrees about it.

Been watching every year since 2013 and as cringe as a lot of it is, I do still look forward to it. And you gotta give it to Geoff, dude’s come a long way from looking like he wants to die during Joel McHale’s bad jokes

If Todd Howard is there I’m expecting Stardust or whatever the fuck it’s called, I’m blanking right now, to be announced for PS5.
