The Game Awards 2024: Final predictions for announcements, expectations, hopes, and dreams for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC
Microsoft will put the bulk of its own gaming content in its own programming, but there should still be some fun reveals for Xbox fans, particularly from the multiplatform side.www.windowscentral.com
"From what I'm hearing, there will indeed be at least a couple blockbuster announcements (initially shared by Jason Schrier). At least one is a PlayStation exclusive fans should be very excited to see. However, at least another one of the other major announcements should indeed represent a full multiplatform release across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. It should spark a ton of excitement if true — although I'm not sure whether to expect this particular game to launch in the near term."
"However, there could be at least one announcement at The Game Awards for an Xbox first-party title that may be coming sooner than some may have previously expected."
edit:
dbl post - ignore me
ah i didnt visit the site, but that makes sense too. i didnt realize doom dark ages was just listed as 2025. but yeah that makes sense too. But its not an xbox exclusive. They've (MS) have been adamant that they wont take away any existing IP that exists as multiplatform. - and regardless on your opinion on MS, they have done a really good job of that. The Xbox part in the article is followed by a picture of DOOM. Whether that's a less than subtle hint we'll see.
Agreed general feeling is we are finally getting a big boy from PS that people have been whispering about for awhile nowJez
