Messages sent to 4chan's press email went unreturned. One of the two dozen or so alleged moderators purportedly exposed in the hack wrote back using their 4chan email address to say that the site had released a "video statement." The user then pointed Reuters to an unrelated, explicit four-minute video montage. A request for further information was followed by a link to a different video with similar content.

I don't know, I am not happy because of this, and I never really had anything against 4chan people.

That being said, I myself am surprised how very little I visited 4chan over the years, despite the fact that I (for most part) like memes, jokes, freedom of the Internet, and overall state of "Wild West" online, so to speak...

I do think that it is very iconic site for what it is, and I definitely had fun looking at memes, but at the same time, maybe it was always a bit too chaotic for me to have it as one of sites that I visit on regular basis.
 
I saw the list that was floating around of banned words/phrases that were filtered to try to curb console wars, and had a laugh. Nintenyearolds and Nintoddlers, stuff like that. It was also funny that there were no Xbox related words on the list because nobody talks about it anymore.

It's crazy that even recently, 4chan has still been a hot spot for emerging internet culture and memes, despite most of the funny stuff being long gone.

Hiroshimoot obviously just cares about the passive income, I don't think he has spent a single dime on a developer to fix or upgrade the site since the purchase.
In that sense he had it coming and if he decides to keep the site running instead of letting it die, in the long run this hack might've been a blessing in disguise.

/g/ can be pretty useful sometimes, /sp/ is absolutely hilarious anytime a big sporting event is happening, /vg/ also has some pretty cool generals, /biz/ has also been hilarious since this whole tariff debacle began and I'm sure there are quite a few other boards that are pretty cool although I've never lurked them.

After 20 years of that website being the scum of the internet you'd think that tech journos would've learned how to deal with it by now.
But I'm not complaining, 4chan and a good bit of trolling will never not make me laugh my ass off and I'm glad that they included that paragraph when they could've just said they didn't get any official feedback instead.

Well, I can answer this.

I met him once at a seedy bar, just west of Memphis Tennessee. Completely by chance, strangest coincidence.

I had no idea it was him, but then about an hour into my Blanton's decompression, served neat, midway thru the 3rd pour, I heard a commotion.

I turned around to him flexing on the bartender and saying loudly "PAY my tab!? - don't you know who I AM?!"

Was like the entire bar shook. Everyone instantly looked around, trying to hurriedly avoid eye contact all at the same time but unable to peel away from the intensity blooming infront of them.

He then said "I'm Mr. Neogaf, you pathetic little human taint! THE online gaming forum extraordinare!!"

Then he slammed his glass down, chuckled for a moment, stood up casually as if nothing happened, put his fedora on and opened his arms like he was going for a hug, when like magic, he faded out into black and the words "neogaf" appeared illuminated in the air.

Everybody clapped.

Saw it with my own 3 eyes. Cool guy.

The Blantons wasn't bad either, but the price was a bit much. Had to switch to Eagle Rare for the 4th pour.

Obviously totes not real

Honestly, with how the world reacts and works to everything these days. It always surprised me that 4chan is still a thing and still allowed to operate.
 
yea if anything it will be more popular once they get back up. i never thought they would get rid of it . at the end of the day who cares if you are a mod for 4chan, there are far worse things. plus i liked /tv/ /v/ /g/ /toy/ /x/ /wsg/ /diy/, just filter out all the other bs that goes on there and you will be fine.
