Well with you, Meeru, it's less like an explicit leadership and more of an emergent one. There is someone your team. They are dominating their lane and totally decked out in items. It's a simple process to follow them to victory.

I think it's because most of us are so used to mumble, we forget to type :/ (hard to imagine there was a long time ago--one month--where I only typed).

I don't know if you're the most qualified to say that, since you have both no microphone and no speakers. No one types anymore!

I'm excused because I have hearing problems :3

You don't need mumble to say "push mid" or "defend now". But I've lost a lot of GAF games because we didn't press an early game advantage and started to rice for whatever reason.

Well another thing is that I feel like no one wants to be that guy to try hard and make themselves the team captain. I know that's the case for me at least. I would feel, for lack of a better word, pretentious if I did so. As in 'What gives me the right to tell other people what to do?' out of no where. Instead, I always make suggestions and pass it by everyone to agree. I figure that most of the games we play now are more for fun than for a win anyway, so I try not to think about it so hard.

That said, I'm sure whoever the captain is would be ready to step up to the plate if they were actually put in a position of leading everyone else. As of right now, I don't think our past games can provide definitive reason that no one has the leadership qualities. I'm sure we'll be fine once the league starts up. Everyone will find a way that works best for their team, don't you worry.

Being a team captain is not hard. Just get tower. Not heroes. Don't go in. Why did you go in? Sigh. (lol)

I feel like if the person didn't vote, they might not partake in the games that much. It might be better to have 2 teams of 16 because of scheduling issues.

Man, I would love to participate, and at least be a sub for a team if possible. As of right now though I haven't even gotten a chance to play since some of the newer heroes have been added. So if there's a certain team that is down a player or whatnot, and it works out, I'd be more than happy to join up. I would love to start knocking off the rust soon with you guys haha. And it's really not a big deal if it's too late and you can't add me.

Maybe I'm reading into it incorrectly, but I thought the sole reason for the captains is to just pick the teams. That doesn't necessarily mean everyone on that team has to do what they say when they are in a game haha. I mean obviously you will want your team to have good communication etc, but that doesn't require an appointed "captain."

I'm guessing the heroes you may need to look up on are Emerald Warden, Amun Ra, Parasite, Martyr. Have you played up to Flux/Sihlouette?

Amun Ra is definitely a nice hero. Kind of reminds me of Dragon Knight.

The teams will be four teams of eight as posted.

Well lemme kinda describe him. He is DK in the way that he has that passive hp regen, up to 8 I believe. His other two are not exactly like DK. He has a stun, but its not a targetting spell, he launches a meteor that rolls in front of him and explodes (the distance is like a SS demon hand medium). The explosion stuns anyone that gets caught in it. The other spell is where he explodes after a couple of seconds, dealing aoe damage. His ultimate is actually leorics lol.

If you guys don't vote it's fine. We'll try the 4 team format for a week or two and see how it goes. If it isn't working out, we'll switch it up.

So, I'm not sure if I'm even in this thing yet, but as far as voting goes I think I will sit this one out since there are so many people I'm not familiar with. Hopefully there will be a captain out there who remembers me though. :p

Edit: On second thought, I'll send you my votes anyways. I looked over the list again and some nostalgia hit me from days of long ago.
