How about the other sonic games? Also crazy taxy was released 2 days ago. Super monkey ball, chu chu rocket. Sega sure loves ios.

Just a warning though...Chu Chu Rocket is terrible port for iOS. A game basically made for an iPad instead gets poor UI, touch controls that barely work and jaggy ass graphics.

Enjoying Devil's Attorney way more than I thought I would. It and Funky Smugglers seem to be this week's winners.

Edit: Reviews of both will be up on IGN early next week.

I know GAF hates on IGN for being the "big guys" (and for other reasons), but please consider that my channel, the mobile games channel, is run by just me. I've been working hard for over a year to build an editorial product that I think can be really useful to serious mobile gamers, with short reviews that have high production values (many fully-produced video reviews) & reasonable, balanced scores:

http://www.ign.com/games/reviews/iphone?sortBy=reviewDate&sortOrder=desc

Glad I'm not the only one that enjoyed devils attorney. And ign is doing a good job with mobile. Keep up the good work.

Didn't know about this. Good to have a resource for unpaid reviews

I gotta try out this Zookeeper stuff and see what all the fuzz is about. I just downloaded it.

I also want to do an 'Upcoming iOS Games' list again..

EDIT:
Just tried ZooKeeper Battle and it could get really addicting! I still don't have the hang of the attack/defense thing. I get 3 in a row of defense animals and I get defense points, the same with attack, but I have lost my 2 first battles in Practice. Of course I'll give it more time.

I'll attempt to do yet another upcoming list now.

I decided to give Zookeeper DX a shot, and it seems like a very basic match 3 game. It was only 99 cents so I'm not gonna sweat it, but there's no reason to play this over Bejeweled. I guess I'll man up and try Battle but I'm not big on competitive gaming.

The main thing I like about Zookeeper DX is the music and the animal faces. It's just more entertaining than Bejeweled. Otherwise, yeah, the game-play is the same. It's funny when a certain type of animal gets mad though.

Totally bought $10 worth of potions in Zookeeper Battle. Going to pretty much not let myself buy anymore than that though (or that's what I'm telling myself).

Also bought Tentacle, but I need to remember how little I like most faster paced, or actiony titles, on iOS. I respect what they did, I think it's well done and creative, but I just don't enjoy faster paced games with touch controls typically (unless the control scheme is really simple, like Ski Safari). Funny how I can debate with myself over spending $1, but eventually cave and justify $10 for lots more rounds (without waiting) of Zookeeper.

Broken Sword, uhwat? As in, the next episode/game of the series will be ported? Mind adding the title to it? There's already 2 games out, I didn't know another one was coming! (Apart from the kickstarter)

What is Demonsouls for iOS?

And I want Infinity Blade: Dungeons.
Infinity Blade is apparently in "development-hell".

This is Demonsouls (Youtube).

Where's Ghost Recon :(
I have no hope for Ghost Recon but I added it now.

I thought the Kickstarter project is also coming to iOS?

So you DO mean the kickstarter project? Okay, was just wondering :D It's not CONFIRMED for iOS yet, only android, but they said they're working on it. And even if, it wouldn't come out until like next summer...

LOL at Ghost Recon.
While we are at it, you can add Clash of Heroes HD too.

Sigh.

Also...Baldur's Gate EE is out end of November.
There is also Tiny Thief.

Thanks for the list...it's damn difficult to do a proper game buy list on iOS.

I interviewed the guy behind Oceanhorn, and got some gorgeous new screenshots. It's out this year!

I wish developers would abandon virtual controls once and for all. There's got to be a better way...

actually Lili does it perfectly. Tap to walk and drag the screen to turn.

yeah organ trail owns. it plays out differently each time and I love the charm of it. it's getting content added eventually as wel once the of version is out.

Is there any way to cure diseases? Google isn't very helpful. One of my companions has typhoid, the other has dysentery. I'm tempted to just end their misery.

EDIT - Nevermind, diseases seem to go away over time. And I was so close to wasting a few precious bullets, too.

Some games do it better than others. It took a couple of games before I warmed up to them and now they aren't an issue at all. I feel as comfortable with them as I would an actual controller. There's just that period of adjustment that needs overcome first. I'm the same way with play first-person shooters with a controller or fighting games with a controller. It doesn't feel right but as I do it I adjust and soon I'm not even thinking about it.

You clearly didn't play Girls Like Robots then:) That's my winner from this week (even if the only one I played).

I wouldn't say I hate IGN;), but I do like the IGN mobile channel. While video reviews aren't really my thing, I do like the reviews in general. Much better than another siTe I cAn think of... The IGN Mobile section has come a long way since it conned me into buying Mouse About back in the day. (Which is nothing like Chu Chu Rocket!)

I haven't played Girls Like Robots yet - it's on the list for this weekend. Unfortunately with mobile being so crazy these days we have to prioritize where to put our review resources.

Didn't know about this. Good to have a resource for unpaid reviews

Well, I'm paid to write them :p

But it's not influenced by companies in any way if that's what you mean.

Wish that could be the case for me, but I don't see myself ever really being comfortable with virtual sticks/pads. Some games are especially bad on the iPhone 5, where they run in letterboxed mode and effectively have two giant strips of dead space on both sides. I'm sure some games will get resolution updates, but some will likely remained letterboxed forever and mildly annoying depending on the title.

Bit late on this one, but I've just started playing The Room. Very cool... exactly the right level of difficulty and trial / error combinations, and great atmosphere.

I also bought Worms 2, but the controls are taking a bit of getting used to.

Yeah, the gameplay is just... it needs that level of co-ordination that always feels *just* out of reach for me all. the. fucking. time.

I kind of love it for that, but it can be frustrating a lot of the time. But it makes it all the more satisfying when you crush it :)

I quite like your channel (the mobile games page), my only complaint is that the reviews are infrequent and tend to focus on the major titles. But I guess one person can only review so many games.

Keep up the good work.

This type of graphics (painted environments) needs to happen more often on the iPad. It's a great fit for the platform, as it doesn't require too much power, and looks great on the iPad screen.
