Between Letterpress, Rayman, The Room, Punch Quest and Super Crate Box, I'm officially in portable gaming heaven. Haven't touched my consoles in ages, next game on them is probably Halo/COD


....



Reading that back, that couldn't read more like a causal gamer. Oh god, what is happening!? Roll on next gen, fast

TTR is fine, but really just for async multiplayer...and even at that...there are better games imho.

Yeah, just in the sense of another laid back board game. I have been playing mostly action-oriented games and RPGs, it's been a long while since I got into table-top games.

Crap,

Trying to find the GAF's best of 2012 thread from a month or so ago and google is not helping at all. Anybody got a link?

Looking for some things to buy...remembered Jetpack, Groove Coaster and Ziggurat but can't remember the other top twenty.

GTA chinatown wars for $0.99 seems like such a good deal, even if it's with touch control only. Especially when I know the PSP version is 20$ and who know for the DS version? I'm sure the Iphone 5 run the game no problem as well so I'm tempted.

I played the game when I had my iPhone 3. It is an amazing port, and really good game.

The controls are well done. It has the PSP graphics and the DS touch interfaces.

Wha-wha-what?!? This is known and accepted among the fanbase?! I like Star Wars but have only seen the movies, and Jedi Leia seems wrong.

Girls Like Robots just got an update that let's you undo the last move of a level, very nice fix.


Am I missing something or does Ziggurat have no leaderboard? Seems like a really weird omission, especially if the previous version had one.

Not in the movie novelizations of course.

Yeah in expanded universe books she is trained as a Jedi by Luke. (after the events of ROTJ obviously).

Yeah, I don't know why it's missing. I'm still confused as to the publisher because they supposedly have a different one now but as far as I can tell it's the same.
 
I take back what I said about letterpress.

I fully understand and enjoy the game now. I'm whooping on that ass.

Also, why don't more games have icloud support. Most of my super punch quest gaming has been on iPad. I can't continue it on my phone.
 
Are the monthly threads already on? If not, what did I miss this last month? Been forgetting to check stuff out...

Also, is Ziggurat back on the app store?

I still feel like we haven't come to a consensus on how the monthly threads should operate.

-Should this thread continue? Why or why not?

-Should the monthly thread be for the best of the last month of games, or this month's games as they're discovered and we update as we go along?

-How will the 'best of' be curated? Posters weighing in, the thread starter deciding on their own?

There wasn't actually any kind of resolution as to what form the threads were to take, so it's probably a bit short-notice to do one next month. They should probably start the month after, if at all, and whoever does the first one is responsible for banners so I guess it should be someone with a modicum of artistic talent/photoshop!
 
So i am currently playing 2 games of letterpress that I am one turn away from winning. Wonder how long it will take the people I am playing to play. They can just wait indefinitely. Sort of annoying. They should force a timeout after a certain amount of time. Maybe that is built in and I don't know about it.

You need to buy the full version. 2 games at once is dull as hell.

It's not like it really matters anyway when the game doesn't track wins and losses.
