So the new re-release of ZiGGURAT has a different leaderboard, right? I wonder if I should just suck it up and rebuy it just for it...ugh.

Why bother, I bet you'd come nowhere near your old high score. The old high score that doesn't matter any more.

;)

Sure. I think it's chugging with the new high-res stadium, or maybe some service running in the background. I'll email support.

If you switch back to the old stadium does it run better?

Shouldn't be anything new running in the background, though there were a couple of SDK updates and compiling against the new OS that may have introduced some problem.

Are there any krpgs that don't have shitty 'always online bullshit' or shitty UI?

I desire a loot grinder atm (messed with most old ones including crimsonheart), but I'm not a fan of bejewel or word puzzle, or puzzlers in general.

hmmm... might pick up that borderlands game next week, even though it doesn't look too hot.

Bought Rayman Run when it went on sale a couple days ago and I'm already one level away from fully completing the game. Such a well polished piece of software.

That one really is a shame. It would be such a perfect game to have a portable version of, plus it originated on DS so it already has touch controls and presumably should run fine on iOS devices. There could very easily be something I'm missing but it seems like it should have been a pretty easy port. Hopefully it comes out

Maybe you are unaware but Ubisoft DID announced Clash of Heroes (the HD remake one too, not the DS one) with even a cool trailer some months ago.
After that....NOTHING.

Heck...Ubisoft last year DEMOED on iPad a very cool, version of Ghost Recon TBS...hen anything else...so I fear CoH could share the same destiny (oblivion).

Mhmmm maybe Adventure Bar Story? Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for, but let me know

I just got all of death's teeth... is there anything else to do in the game? There's a little icon of Rayman walking to the right of the level select screen, but I'm guessing that's for add-on content?

surprise launch of the next galactic phantasy game tonight for a dollar!

First game was kinda like infinite space, but it seems like this is more your traditional space combat system.

Curious how iap ridden this is. Game looks butt gorgeous though.
Oh thank christ, it's a space combat/adventure game THAT ISN'T ELEVENTY BILLION GIGABYTES.

Awesome.

Also, no IAP mentioned on the app store page.

:lolol. .99- with NO IAP? GOD BLESS THE DEVS. First game was fun already.

$2.99 here -- did I miss the sale?! O_o

Well... I was actually talking about tonight's release. Chickdigger said it'll be a dollar?

As for Galactic Phantasy that's already out, then yes, it was on sale Oct 18- 25 for .99.

WTF @ The Last Express file size.

Daaaaaaamn.

Lots of wonderful voice work.

Him. How do I switch to the old stadium (Flick Kick Football)?

I can't email support right now (drowning in homework) but I have a non-jail broken iPad 3 with iOS 6. The framerate is jittery and there is a slight delay to the ball flicks (ouch).

impressions from TA:

Initial impressions. Game is FANTASTIC... Know that the game is more of an RPG than a direct GOF clone, despite having borrowed most of its trading and proven and tested "menu-based travel shortcuts".

The combat isnt as dogfight-ish as GOF, but it has it's advantages. I actually find it a bit casual, but fun nonetheless. Combat is a mix between Quantum Legacy and GOF. You aim manually using two scope levels. One has a larger area to lock-on to targets, but it lets you move very slow. The other one has a smaller targetting area, but it lets you move faster. In QLegacy, you have to time pressing the defense button for each incoming projectile. In DPP, you press shield and it is on for a duration. Main difference from QLegacy, is that this has a free move, while it's on virtual rails in QLegacy when you lock-on. Havent really tested it much as i've only been in the beginning where some tutorials still popup. So i wont delve deeper into combat for now.

Space travel is nicely implemented. You play it in an overhead view on a 2D plane. This is how you travel from station (planet?) to station. Once there, you can dock, or wander. Wandering is like free flight in 3D like when you arent in combat in GOF. You can visit shops and other stuff this way, or you can use the menu-basedtravelling shortcuts.

Overall the visuals are fantastic. The sounds are ok, but nothing special. The RPG-ing is decent, and has more of an RPG feel than GOF was.

There are 2 types of currency, Credits and Money. Money is only for the impatient, because you can redo very easy missions and get money and a sellable item for rewards. Not sure if we get Credits outside of IAP yet. But so far, in shops, everything can be bought with Money. So far, the only thing i found which need Credits are found in the IAP menu which you get to by tapping on the credits or Money up at the top of the screen when docked. Basically it's for Ship Blueprints, which i imagine will be available in the game later anyways, which may suggest even the credits are for the impatient only. If the blueprints are IAP only, i dont know how else you can acquire other ships, but i am too far from finding out i guess.

The rest of the IAPs are bundles that give Money and what seems to be Overpowered Ships with 1 overpowered equipment that comes with it.

For $1, this game is a steal. And every IAP i can find so far hints as something for the impatient, or for those who want to cheat and finish the game right away.

All i can say right now is that i am greatly impressed with what im playing, and I love this more than i did GOF2 because of the more RPG feel to it.

bought.

Still, a fun game, it's pretty much the first game but with a different battle system.

Kingdom Rush is great. Are they making a Kingdom Rush 2?

Yeah on both accounts.
It is truly great and yes, they are making a second one...was scheduled for late 2012.
I do not know if they are still on track or if it has been delayed.
Recently they updated KR with the 3 new cool maps that open after you complete the campaign.

Is Streets of Rage 2 broken for anybody else on iOS6/iPhone5?
It crashes whenever I hit continue or new game.

I wonder if any of the Sega Emulated games work on iOS6?
Apologies if this has been discussed before...

Argh, almost beat Ithaqua in Elder Sign Omens. Just making it to the battle with him was a feat -- was my first time. I prepared enough supplies, but I should have taken more time to buy items with my trophies before setting out for Alaska. Ah well, at least now I know how to better prepare for the expedition. Fantastic game.

Beating the first three ancient ones is now a breeze.

I downloaded Cytus back when it was free but only now tried it. Pretty good presentation with some cool music. I have a bit of a problem with most music games though, with all of them I feel like I would be playing much better with the sound turned off so I can pay exclusive attention to the patterns, but that kills the purpose.

Playing Rayman too, so much polish. Fantastic game. Sega should try to make a Sonic game like this (:/).

See?
I'm glad the game clicked with you too.
Do not forget the Ithaqua campaign has different endings and many random things on the last part too :P
Still undecided which one I like better, Ithaqua or Cthulhu.
Overall the game is amazing, but after having played the campaigns going back to the vanilla game is pointless....too easy and the campaigns have so much more in terms of story and things to do.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but Random Heroes is on sale (or it was...?). Not a bad game, especially for free. Not as tight as League of Evil, but still a solid experience.

Yeah, only two games I've been playing really this month -- Resident Evil 6 and Elder Sign Omens. Can't put this thing down. But it's inspired me to check other things similar. I re-downloaded Ticket To Ride Pocket. I got it a while back but never played it. I think I'm ready now.

I don't know if it was mentioned, but thanks for mentioning it! I like the game from the little bit I've played, but I can see myself having difficulty with the touch controls once the game gets harder.

For me it kept randomly crashing on iPad2, often before completing a level. Otherwise, it was okay, like LOE 2 with shooting I guess.

The game really doesn't get harder and was a completely forgettable experience. League of Evil 1 and 2 on the other hand are two of my favorite games on iOS.

Hmmmm not sure what do you mean: I have Ticket to Ride but it's nothing similar at all to Elder Sign Omens, they are completely different.
I like Omens orders of magnitude more.
TTR is fine, but really just for async multiplayer...and even at that...there are better games imho.

Well, Cytus isn't timed correctly to the music more often than not, and rhythm timing only sort of matters for the taps. Good presentation but horrible execution.

Yep, just tried on iOS 6/iPad 3rd gen and it has the same issue here.

Yeah I downloaded it when it went free and forgot to post it here. The game sadly feels a bit like an IAP excuses. Still, for free its pretty cool.

not shabby. Too bad piece of shit gamecenter never seems to store my good scores T_T.

I hate to be that guy (and trust me, I've tried to figure it out independently) - but what game is this? I've googled "punchos" to no avail.

EDIT: Nevermind! I got it. Punch Quest, right?
