Im into jazz (a little bit) I have some Miles, Mingus (some of his stuff swings), Monk, Coltrane, McLaughlin, Bichet but I have yet to find some really uptempo swinging shit like that jazz trio from the movie That Thing You Do! Anybody know what Im talking about and can point me in the right direction.

Your best bet is probably Charlie Parker, before he went crazy go nuts into drugs in the mid 50s.
