I haven't played it but just by looking at this shot I can tell it's probably a piece of junk.

No long-dead SS and LB characters in KOF, please. This is not SF4. Geese and the AOF peeps are already convoluted enough. That's what NGBC is for.

This would be a perfectly acceptable argument... if not for the fact that SNKP hasn't made a full-fledged non-KOF game in the past several years. Heck, the closest thing is probably Metal Slug 7; And even that stared the Ikari warriors!

While I'd like to keep it all seperate by preference, if the options were down to "See a few of SNK's classics updated in KoF XIII as a special team" or "never see them in an updated game again", I'd quickly choose the KoF option, without remorse!

The random guest of KoF XI were great to have, and after that, I have little issue with seeing dormant SNKP/Noise Factory/Data East/Eolith/Atlus (!?! Groove on Fight Crossover!) properties given another chance to shine, by appearing as bonuses in a KoF.

In an ideal world, I'd use the KoF series as a springboard to revive Samsho, Last Blade, Garou (Densetsu) and even World Heroes, if anyone cared. Put a guest character or 3 into KoF, while developing the full games (in somewhat unique styles, that would all share a Highly Defined sprite basis) seperately. Or even putting, say, one character from 3 series that'd be in the next NGBC, into the current KoF first, as a teaser. After the intended series are back, then clear things up in the more defined "KoF" and "NGBC" distinctions.

KoF started as a celebration of SNK in general, not just SNK's Fighters. As long as they don't COMPLETLY "jump the shark" (like by having the cast of Blazing Star fight from their ships..), then KoF is a fine place for SNKP to include nearly anything they, or the fans, want.

Lee Rekka may as well be Li Xaing-fei's great grandfather =3

Well, considering Eiji is possibly the decendent of Zantetsu from Last Blade, this could very well be true! And I've always felt Kagami could have some connection to the Kusanagi bloodline...

Totally agree with this! I'd say it would be way more cost effective fan-service to add in a few surprise SNK characters like XI than hope for a NGBC2 (as much as I'd like to see a sequel in XIII's style). Though, no one obscure like XI. Throw the likes of Nakoruru and Marco in (if MI2 could have Hanzo, Fio, and an SS stage, so could XIII)

I don't know if anyone here remembers but when KoF 98UM was about to come out, there was a crazy rumor that Guile (using his SvC assets) would be added as a surprise character. Of course it was fake, but imagine if they did it for real. It'd be nuts, but would totally help in moving more copies. and gaining more attention.

I'm gonna say no to any LB or SS character in a KOF game. Keep KOF with SF if your going to do a crossover game like CvS and SvC.

Just make a Lastblade vs Samurai Shodown game.

I'd agree with this. As long as KOF is going to be the consummate "SNK" game, it might as well pay tribute to all of SNK/ADK and its supporting brands. And not just the fighters, either. I may not have liked too much else about SvC: Chaos, but I did get a kick out of seeing Mars People and the Original Athena fighting for the first time. Not to mention Marco and Fio have both had chances to moonlight in different games, as well.

So, hey, why not? Fanservice and oodles of characters is what helps these games sell in the first place, after all, so I wouldn't blame SNKP at all for going in this direction, if there really was no other choice.

Nah. Ol boy Kagami's powers came from Suzaku (one of the 4 gods), who, as we know, was tied in with a completely different series of events from what the Kusanagi and Yasakani/Yagami were involved with. So, in short, I don't think there's any link there. :lol

Well, Whip does use ... a whip. And Elizabeth got a riding crop. So, I don't see the problem.

Like I said, most. SNK keeps full on weapon users (wouldn't call Elizabeth that btw) to a bare minimum in the series, its kind of the series' angle. Same as you would expect the vast majority of the characters in an SS or LB game to have weapons.
