Your high quality AAA games are only 30FPS because that's what they have to aim for to push the graphics. You could say that's a "design choice", but it's really all about making better looking games (more effects and shit). And they are willing to sacrifice half of the frame rate to achieve that.

Fortunately for me, most games are released on PC now as well so I can experience them just like I want them to be. High settings and 120fps. So if more games start being 60fps on console, I'm all for that for when I want to play some exclusives.

Nothing wrong with having options whether or not you want to use them.

No official word, but The Last of Us: Remastered is being sold as a completely different game than The Last of Us (no upgrade program, "Remastered"), so I would expect a similar list but one separate from the PlayStation 3's. If that makes any sense!
