I don't know, man. I mean, I trust them, but I can't blame people for not doing so. No gameplay footage available and the precedents we have on PS4 for the 30fps lock option are always there because the unlocked framerate is too variable.

As I said, I trust them and I believe it is quite stable 60 from what I've read, but I can't really say that people who choose not to trust without evidence are the irrational ones. "I Believe in Naughty Dog" isn't really the most convincing argument.

It really isn't about believing in ND, more about...it's just an option. They could have easily made the game run at 60fps and drop the framerate when it's too much, which is what happens with 95% of console games.
What I'm trying to say is that the option being there doesn't mean anything about the framerate being solid or not, it's the wrong thing to pick on. The right thing to pick on is the lack of footage, not a framerate toggle.

Hmm, I see your point, you're super right.

There's also the angle that you don't HAVE to buy it day one. That may not excuse the lack of footage, but it's not like the devs are the only possible source for footage once the game comes out. I'm sure DF will have their analysis up in no time.

I just find it really odd that the game is about to come out, and the only thing we've ever seen was a trailer and some pictures. I mean, they ruined some stuff with the trailer, so they're clearly not that worried about the story angle, but how come there isn't a small video showing "hey, here's the new features, here's a brief comparison of old and new footage and whatnot"?
Sony marketing really is hit and miss.

Yea, I got all excited because I am at work but I was able to log into SEN just before 10 am and download the beta. Of course it turns out it was only the "client" and I will have to wait till I get home later to actually download the bulk of it. :(

agreed! Even after 5 Naughty Dog members has said point blank it will run 60fps, the 30 lock is JUST for people who want it. They still get the same. "couch experts" saying.."I don't believe you...you're hiding the truth." If I was ND, I wouldn't even make anymore statements, just let the game's release do the talking.

Can't believe poor ND is still trying to tell that IT IS 60fps after the studio heads already confirmed it. Shame on some here on GAF and the trolls on the internet.

I still don't see why people have a problem with OPTIONS.

Some users like 30fps (I'm one of them… I have my reasons… deal with it).

Some people are deaf… the majority of us aren't… should we start removing the subtitle option from games too?

I'm trying REALLY hard not to give in to this hype. I don't want to pay 429 euros for another console, but damn it this hype is getting to me! Shame there is no other PS4 title to look forward to otherwise I would've bought the console in a heartbeat.

Its just that maybe some people ain't going to the Destiny threads because right now is pure chaos and maybe wanted to give the beta a try.
