Wouldn't you literally have to snag it from Wal-Mart? As in steal it. Pretty sure their registers have had date blocks on them for awhile now that can't be overridden.

Most likely got it through a connection of some sort. Not sure about other Wal-Mart's but the ones in my area have all the games behind a glass display that's locked. Thinking about heading down to mine to at least give it a shot on snagging one.

A college friend who works on the tech side in Arkansas said that when street-dated materials are scanned now an error comes up on the register stating it cannot be sold and it lists the date. Even store managers and asm's cannot process this sale. This includes movies and music.
Maybe it was listed as the PS3 version?

I have this thing. Got it at a garage sale. The batteries have to be held in with tape but it still works.

It's truly a sign of the times, isn't it? We've gotten to the point where someone can and will do that. Hell, people even makes legit looking discs. Plus Photoshop.
In some situations it must suck, especially if there's an important day 1 patch but in this case I doubt ND or Sony would care about anyone playing a year old game.
The most they'll probably do is issue a takedown notice. I don't think they'll be very aggressive this time because frankly, it's a game that's already out there.
No, there was an instance where an annoyance of gif images reacting to the 30fps lock option mention made it lame for about 10 pages.
Which was then saved by the "so that's why they made the xbox one version" or something like that, not going back to look for it.
But yeah, loving the rebound.

If it were me I wouldn't mind, shows how much the community cares for a game.
Now the publisher it's a different story. Surely they don't like broken street dates.

I don't understand why people get mad when someone gets a game early. Find a store, buy it. Unless you pre-ordered and forced to wait.

No, that's not what I mean. Publishers probably don't care as much as retailers. Street dates help even the playing field as it's impossible to deliver to all retailers in the world at the exact same time.
