That's what they said before but they wound up unlocking it. Only play it if you've completed the main game though.

I don't understand how anyone is complaining about a 100% optional choice to buy an improved version of one of the best games of all time.
Hell, I would have been happy with 1080p and 60fps alone in terms of visual improvements. Better IQ and a smooth framerate is just what this game needed.

NeoGAF are doing 268 pages worth of right.
Sony is doing ZZZZZZ for this version of the game for some reason. yo like how can you have a game coming out whose whole primary functional purpose is as version of the game at its absolute visual best and to introduce people who haven't played the game before to this product, and the ways you choose to showcase the product is once at E3 where you say SPOILERS IN THE FOLLOWING TRAILER and then proceed to massively spoil the story (welcome to the game, newcomers!), and the other is by not showing the game and its 60fps, higher res texture/character model glory until, like, the final day before the game is supposed to come out (and welcome to you too, those here for the visual upgrade!). Like try a little harder here Sony

Is there a way to get in touch with Naughty Dog? Many people who play competitive factions wish for host settings when playing private matches. Things like this:
• disable molotovs
• disable purchasable weapons
• disable armor
• disable HUD and map (hardcore mode, my idea lol)
Just for private matches (!) not for regular games, since that would split up the community. Bomb Expert 3 needs a patch btw :/

Jesus christ the other thread is an embarrassment for this forum.
Anyway, having the game looking so clean combined with that nice texture upgrade is great stuff.
Assuming that the frame-rate doesn't bring any surprises the port definitely matches my expectations.
Now to wait for the game to arrive in that beautiful steelbook and cherish it forever.

I like this thread so much more. I hope we get gameplay videos. Its so hard for me to imagine this game at 60 fps. My imagination sucks.

People are disappointed because they had a remake in mind, instead of a remaster, then have the audacity to call out ND as being lazy! Wtf! From the screens we have so far, they look like they have delivered on what they said they were going to deliver.
So many trolls and just plain dumb people who didn't listen to ND when they told us what to expect.

Can't wait for someone with a capture card releases some png screens. I remember being blown away when (i think it was nbnt) got a hold of infamous: SS and posted some uncompressed screens, it really brings out the minute details.

Even then people won't be happy, I guarantee it, because just like I said, people have been expecting a reMAKE for months now, now they are being shown what a remaster looks like...they're disappointment is through the roof, and there's no way they're gonna blame themselves. So the blame goes to ND.

For TLOU being a "last-gen game", it holds up extremely well in the remastered version...looks almost on par with something like InFamous: SS.
