Hopefully peeps will be able to keep the OT devoid of any pictures for the fresh newcomers.

Well, If I were someone who hadn't played this game yet, I wouldn't be anywhere fucking near any potential source of spoilers, lol. The only reason I mentioned the screenshot thread specifically is because it's dedicated to them, so you're gonna get way more screenshots posted there, compared to the OT, thus increasing your chance of seeing a spoiler via screenshot.
I'm gonna be posting a lot of screenshots, but if I think any of them are even slightly spoiler-ish, I will only post the link to them with a warning beforehand. Don't worry, TLOU virgins, I got you covered.

I'm assuming you're joking but since you haven't actually played it, Raptor, that's not actually in the game. That's a cutscene that was made for the reveal and then later updated with the actual Ellie model.

WOW, is there any way you could get closer to the camera and snap joel and ellies face? The first screenshot looks stellar! I'm sure you could also agree that the screenshots don't do the game any justice considering these are still compressed and clarity/minute detail is lost.

I agree. These photos look great already, but 60fps adds so much to the presentation.
They look good. I'm also kind of able to mentally remove Share compression at this point :lol

Yea, I got my ps4 in February and anytime I have checked it out it has been in the hundreds. Really disappointing because KZ MP is generally pretty fun.

Well I've seen enough to know that these were downsamples. But I think everyone knew that (everyone that wasn't fooling themselves).
But yeah, the compressed images don't help
IMGUR can kill IQ but it's not THAT bad. Downsampled images still look pretty good.

The Joel in-game character model is excellent.
Lots? That's a huge exaggeration, there are some, but definitely not lots. The IQ is excellent. Even the powerlines in this shot are smooth (take note, DriveClub):

Huh, those look really good. Imgur may have changed its compression algorithms, because I've seen Reddit steal shots from GAF and reupload them to Imgur and they looked ungodly terrible.

To give the share button a little of credit, you are using Facebook as a host, which does even more terrible things to the picture. Share Jpegs straight from the file system look better, but not as good as a CC.
But what made it even worse is that since Reddit has this insane unwritten rule that images need to be hosted on Imgur for anyone to bother upvoting it, it completely defeated the point of the screenshots (IQ).

Well, to be fair to the share button method in your example....it was uploaded to Facebook, which adds a ton of compression, as evident in your screenshot. The share button screens look way better than that when you use a decent host site such as CubeUpload, or Minus:

Lol the console screenshots thread is full of people using imgur, facebook and twitter. TLoU screens thread is going to have some strict rules on hosting ;P

I just opened it in another tab and noticed the facebook logo before the URL. I can usually just tell by the way they look, the FB screens always look really blurry compared to the ones uploaded to decent host sites. Compression artifacts all around the edges of everything. Bleh.
I hope Sony allows us to copy the full sized PNG's to USB in the future.

I guess those earlier screenshots released from Sony were bullshots, but the game looks gorgeous. Sold my copy of the PS3 version for $25 the other day, pre-ordered from BB with GCU for $40. Solid upgrade, can't wait.

They were definitely down-sampled bullshots. They did the same for the PS3 version too.
