I ordered weathertop yesterday, even though the higher price made me sad. i should be getting both weathertop and mines of moria tomorrow.

still waiting on amazon to stock gandalf arrives and shelob, those are the only sets I think i'll be getting from this LotR wave... unless i grow weak.

deciding on what to buy from lego.com to get the hulk fig... i am particularly fond of period sets or sci-fi sets such as castle, Atlantis and the alien attacks... maybe some of those...

not sure how i feel about the monster sets. I might get some of the cheaper ones. that aside, I don't see any other sets on the horizon that interest me (talking theme sets here)

i wonder what other LotR sets they have planned? They have to do Saruman minifig at some point... so I assume Isengard will be one. Bilbo at Bag End? So many possibilities.

I think the focus for the Winter sets will be the Hobbit (which I can't wait to see all the dwarves), with maybe a couple LotR sets in there as well.

EDIT: to add to the excellent LotR set ideas, I would suggest Edoras

Weeell...me and the girlfriend got a little crazy:

yay!
Neto :)
Are the Racers discontinued?
Yea I believe so, that small set was only 6€ so I could not resist.

Anyone think they will do boy-oriented Friends sets? I like the new-style minifigs but I'm reticent to get into the line until they expand it a little. It's obviously girl-themed but it has the potential to be more.

Man, now I can't decide which LOTR set I want. Weathertop is the only one that comes with Ringwraiths, and you also get Aragorn and THE ring...but it's only 430 pieces and I generally don't like sets with less than ~500 because they are too fast and easy to build...hmmmm

And it's $60 for 430 pieces, wtf is that

I understand all too well :) but i looked at some youtube vids of the set and decided i wanted it badly enough. You could wait for a sale... i waited and got the batcave for only $50 on amazon. miracles do happen ^__^

make sure you snatch a shelob when they go up though... great set

I doubt it. I suspect they will continue adding additional non-gender-related activities for the girls though. The more of them I do with my daughter, the more I'm convinced that they're actually great sets. I love the different colors, and the clever mini-scale building involved in creating their environments is always quite clever.

The Friends figures remind me of old-school Polly Pocket. They're very similar.

Jump in. Other than the pastel colours, they look like great sets. Nice open backs to support play, even a modular type approach with 3315 where you can move rooms around to reconfigure it.nand they have really nice furniture

My wife just sent me these pics from Target:

Should I bite? Those are 50% off. It's kind of hard not to. This means they are clearing space for a new influx of Lego sets...

I like the Alien Conquest line. I regret not getting that Bounty Hunter ship when I saw it on clearance, if only for the green bricks. I don't think the ship looks that good, but I watched a video review and I think it has some playability. I'd grab those two.

That's the best time to pick 'em up, even if your not a fan of the sets if you ever wanted to MOC all those cheap ass bricks will come in handy.

Just placed my Hulk mini fig order, shame none of the LOTR or Monster Fighter stuff is on S@H in the UK, had to settle for the Volkswagen Camper Van, and by settle I mean get something just as awesome instead of something just awesome...

Trying to decide what to order to get Hulk mini fig. But right now it doesnt show the fig in my cart or anything. Guess I will have to wait until midnight EST for it to go active.

I have no money, so busting out the plastic to get something. Thinking of just ordering the minimum to get the figure, but thinking that if I am going to order, I might as well go big and get another modular like Grand Emporium. Decisions!

Hulk won't show up in the basket until midnight in your timezone.

Your gonna have to pay for shipping, so you might as well get the modular to make it worth while, then grit your teeth everyday for the next week until Lego get around to shipping it out.

Just like last time. I want to see if they do a free shipping promo, but dont really care. Want that Hulk figure.

And ordering a modular gets me to over 1000 VIP points. Stocking up to get a big discount off something early next year. Did contemplate ordering the mini modulars this time, but want to get Grand Emporium before I order anything else major.

Damn. I want the Hulk figure. I should've waited to order the Joust set, and I want that chess set... But I just don't have the scratch at the moment. How long is the Hulk special running?

Do the supplies usually last? Because I can definitely pull the end of the month off. Oh, boy! Oh, boy!! ;)

I have no clue. I am not chancing it. I could swing the cash at the end of the month, but will bust out the credit card to get the figure now. Tempted to try and do two orders to try and get two, but that would be silly. One Hulk is enough. I have plans for that figure.

Are you in Australia? I'm on oz but I'm wanting to order via the US site and use mail redirect, so I'm waiting for midnight US time to click over but I don't know what timezone it needs to be in?

I live in Scotland (3am here), your looking at being able to order it 2 hours from now if it goes up at midnight EST.

Hmm I was tempted to do mine in 2 orders to get 2 minifgs but then I just noticed the fine print

"One free exclusive, limited-edition item per customer.  Cannot be applied to previous orders or combined with any other discount, offer or free exclusive, limited-edition gift. Anyone else notice how much of a shitty site Eurobrick is? It's constantly got connection issues and the discussions are so stale and over-moderated. Maybe it's just me, but it's pretty sad that a Lego discussion here is better than a site dedicated to Lego. /rant

Yeah, you get dressed down for typos and incorrect grammer on eurobricks. That plus they're all rabid fanboys who adore every single set that lego puts out.

Yeah. What kills me is that any discussion that doesn't stick to the rigorous topic at hand is immediately shut down so no discussion ever really gets going as there is no freedom. It's too bad it's the biggest Lego forum and is run like shit.

The clamping down on leaked images is a bummer. Thankfully there are other sources to look them up. Didn't think the site was that bad but I guess I'm not on the forum much anyways.

I never posted on the Eurobricks forum. And only poked there a couple of times. I do go to Brickset quite a bit though, but not the forums. I just check the front page news and look up instructions to sets.

Two minutes to Hulk time!

EDIT: AAAAAAANDDD ORDERED! Grand Emporium with a raging Hulk on the way. After that, all I need is Pet Shop to have all in print modulars. And then I can rest.

I don't always go online to talk about Lego, but when I do, I go to BZPower.

I did toy with getting the VW Bus because it is cheaper than a modular, and is very well regarded. But I feel compelled to get all the currently in print modulars before I start deviating into other sets too much.

Sets I need to get in the next year:
VW Bus
Sopwith Camel
Haunted House
UCS R2D2
UCS B-Wing

And a few other smaller sets. Like the Werewolf Monster Fighter set.
