Brilliant, but Grievous should be playing 4 keyboards at once :)

Yea I had stuff yesterday early on planned out for the buy 2 get 1 free sale, put them in cart and all, but decided agains it. Then a few hours later I came back, they raised prices on most things so screw that.

Went to the Lego store yesterday, was good fun. My 4yr old nephew's first interaction with Lego and he seemed to find it rather interesting. He was quite taken with the build a mini-fig station. These were his creations.

Also, I hate you all for all the modular talk. Couldn't resist the mini-modulars. The Dino and City sets I bought for my nephew. The Dino set was a fun build and he seemed to manage for the most part with some guidance.

FYI this is only in the US since I work at TRU in Canada and the only thing that's ever been illegitimately raised in price after the fact is the Jokers Fun House set by $5

The reason prices went up was that last week's sale prices went away. There's a couple of hours each week that last week's and this week's sales overlap.

Building Jet Copter now. Cool build so far. Looking forward to Earth Defense. It has been praised much in here. And for $41 not a bad price.

I stopped at B&N this morning. They had 2 sets of the Earth Defense HQ for 50% off, but since I already have it, I passed. It's an awesome set, but I can't imagine using those pieces for a MOC, and non-Star Wars space sets don't really seem to go up in value after they're discontinued.

I also stopped at TRU and picked up my order from yesterday (Shelob Attacks, Loki's Escape, and Wolverine's Showdown), along with 3 minifigs. I was getting frustrated feeling for pieces in the store, so I just grabbed 3 bags and ended up with a conquistador and 2 pirate captains. Argh!

Finished Earth Defense hq. Great set, and lots of fun. The fighter on the back of it is so awesome looking, and is an incredibly simple build. Weird snot techniques or anything, just a straight forward build that looks badass when done. The main vehicle was a lot of fun as well.

As someone mentioned, I don't see a lot of MOC stuff coming from this, but it was a damn fun set.

You could always use the parts to build one of these:

I am ridiculously jealous. They look awesome! I haven't seen that little mini white ship before (tantive?). Did it come with the wider star destroyer?

and...is that a vertical pencil tile at the right edge of your backsplash? It looks good-I've not seen that done before. I am re-doing ours this winter.

He also made this:

Holy...

That is incredible looking. And HUGE.

And I was just at Target a bit ago and had a funny encounter on the Lego aisle. The only other person that walked into the aisle had the same Lego iPhone case on their phone as me. But he didn't have any bricks on the back of his, where I had a picture of Mario built onto mine.

Small world.

Yea the Tantive mini ship comes with the wider Imperial Star Destroyer. While the little grey ship hanging off the Super Star Destroyer is supposed to be a ISD for scale. SSD is a longer set, but the ISD is just one really wide ship. ISD is very delicate though sadly, and have to take the top off to essentially move it anywhere otherwise it falls apart. The SSD is a much nicer and very solid build in comparison.

And yup, the tile guys who did my kitchen did that thing with the vertical pencil tile to cap it off, came out nice.

To those who have assembled the SSD...

The "key stone" you put in at the very end to tie the main hull to the rest of the body (step 84 of the final bag) - was it as big of a bitch for you folks as it was me? Mine won't really stay in place. It's...Annoying.

E: Nevermind, did a small modification with the extra pieces and all is well. A++++

How does that thing stay together? Gotta be reinforcement beams through the middle there much like the wings on the Imperial Shuttle. So very nice looking.

Finished the truck and finally started in on the first floor of the Fire Brigade. Love dat ladder...the floor is starting to come together really nicely, too. Awaiting my divine revelation on the second floor...

It's as if a million voices cried out in despair because they totally can't afford that.
