I picked up the Winter village holiday Bakery last week from Amazon for $55. I skipped on the Battle of Helms Deep a couple days ago, hoping my sister gets me it for Christmas. We like getting each other fun stuff/toys for Christmas making it feel like we were kids, sort of tradition.

I just ordered Winter Village Post Office from Amazon, anyone interested they have it marked down to $53 and it looks like Lego has it MSRP 79.99 so thats pretty cheap. I also ordered a minifig 8 Santa claus from a seller for $6 shipped. It's the only one left I want and I figured it would probably take me at least 2 blind packs to get him anyways.

Has anyone put together the Winter Village Cottage yet? I'm excited to get it and put all these winter sets together.

A couple of Uruk-Hai to bolster my army.
UK exclusive....Do these things typically stay country exclusive forever?

In all media, only true fans who consume every book, film, game, or pog collection deserve to know what's going on.
I really debated myself about buying it.. and while I did that Amazon ran out of stock. I guess fate decided for me.

There was no debate for me. I am jumping on it if it comes back up again and I can actually catch it.

Maturity, bitches.
Just read it's free postage again from the 16th for the UK so I'll wait for that before ordering the Winter set.

GOING TO THE LEGO STORE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy-ren-and-stimpy-30567735-593-289.jpg

I am Stimpy in the above picture and my wife is Ren after she comes home from work later on today and sees how much money we spent.

Slight change in plans though: My daughter is set on getting the Summer Riding Camp, so that has already been decided. So it looks like no Ninjago sets today, unless the Samurai Mech is not too expensive. Also, was planning on getting Town Hall, but my daughter actually mentioned how cool the Haunted House was, so we might get that instead and the whole family can assemble that set together as a nice Halloween-related activity. So the free swag that I'm anticipating is one of those vintage mini-figure collections, a TC-14 mini-fig, plus the double VIP points. I currently have 1500 VIP points in the bank, so we'll see how many I get up to after today's visit. My goal is to wait until it gets up to about $200 and then buy a big set. Looks like it's going to go toward Town Hall if we get the Haunted House today. Cannot WAIT to crack open the Jabba "mini"-fig...

It is official, my nephew is hooked on Lego. Pestered his dad to help him build over the weekend. Drawback 1 - His mom is none too happy about expensive new hobby. Drawback 2 - I will be expected to buy him a set every time I visit.

Yeah, it makes my head hurt - fantastic design!

I'm a little confused about why they made it go sideways, other than it being a cool, challenging technique. The door seems to be made of 2 arches, so it would still be circular if put straight up. Maybe they couldn't get the right angles at the top edge of the wall.

And does the Portal Gun use a motorcycle helmet for the base?! That is ingenious if it is what they used.

January is shaping up to be a VERY expensive month.

Ugh. I know. I am on a Lego sabbatical until then. But I must save up for the Star Wars plunge next time I can. SSD, R2D2, and B-Wing all in one go. I want to wait for double VIP for a purchase that big, but I dont know if I will be patient enough.

Just went to Toys R Us to pick up a b-day gift for a party my sons invited to. Went through the Lego area and saw they had BOGO 40% off that included Star Wars. They actually had 1 Slave 1 there for 89.99, but didn't have enough time to find another set to match with it to offset the TRU tax. Why couldn't they have 2 Slave 1 sets?

I notice that the picture and the press release don't match up in regards to piece count and recommended age. Wonder which one is correct?
