Give me a balrog set at any size and I'll be happy. A bonus would be anything rohirrim related except boring Helm's Deep.

Things I feel are likely:
Treebeard
A balrog
something with saruman
something with sauron
something with another ringwraith, probably with a fell beast.
I'd imagine minas tirith would be too similar to helm's deep to be the big set....

Any chance someone can help me get 2 of those dudes? I can give a little tip. I'm in Canada, didn't hear anything about this one being available here.
Decided to go with the modular that first caught my eye when I started reading this forum, The Grand Emporium. Not really concerned about what ones are going OOP because I'm sure I'll end up buying them over the next weeks anyway. I hope I don't regret not picking up the Imperial Shuttle though,I just wanted to build something different besides Star Wars ships (thats all that I've ever built so far). I should have the funds for it next month though...
Swwwwwwweeeeet!! Looks like they are going to maybe have Gollum in another set then, wonder which one. Hopefully not an edge of cliff fight for the ring set with Sam, Frodo and Gollum again. Guess there really isn't much they could do with Gollum not involving Sam and Frodo only.

Got you covered. PM me an address.
Damn we don't have these in Australia either. What would it cost to post a couple to Oz?
So I'm disassembling a bunch of sets to make room for newer ones. I've put the pieces in ziploc bags, but am now faced with a dilemma:
Should I put the baggies back into the sets' original boxes (I keep all my boxes), or should I label the bags and put them all in one large generic box?
Using the original boxes would be more orderly. But using one large box would be more space-efficient, as all the pieces could be packed into one generic box, and I could continue to store the original boxes by nesting them inside one another (like Russian nesting dolls).
Any tips/advice?
Just organize all your stuff together. Get sorting containers, like these:

Sort by piece type, then hide the boxes away. Then you have room to keep adding to your collection and rebuild later.
I keep all my boxes broken down and behind bookcases. I have a large accordion file for all the instruction manuals.[/QUOTE]
Ah, but I prefer to keep sets complete and separate from one another; I don't mingle pieces from different sets. Perhaps one day I will, but for the time being I don't.
If I don't place the sets back in their respective boxes, I just might start flattening the boxes though. That seems like a reasonable idea.

Depends if they charge me the regular envelope or the large envelope rate. Would cost me $5-8 for the postage and the two minifigs.

Two very different build experiences...
I need to get the Vampyre Castle. Eventually at least.
How did you like the Haunted House build? I thought it was a good build, and a nice change of pace for a building after so many modulars. I HATED how you built all the interior details first, then added them in later though. Usually without any direction that they were to go there.
For the alien, feel for the bottom piece. The bottom is a 1x2x2 slope piece, and it sticks out a lot when you feel for it.So I didn't realize the series 8 minifigs were only $3 and that there would be a bat and alien.
I blind bought one cuz I went to Target for a ghost polybag and they didn't have any. Wtf is up with that anyway?
I ended up with Hamlet, which is pretty cool, but i'd really like the bat and alien. Any easy tricks to figuring it out?
Ah, makes sense, thanks for the tips! For the alien, feel for the bottom piece. The bottom is a 1x2x2 slope piece, and it sticks out a lot when you feel for it.
For the bat, the top of the figure is odd because of the wings. The arms stick out at an angle instead of being flush against the body.
Wait what how do you get this guy? Buying a game or what?

Wow, ordered it yesterday, looks like I made the right decision.
I wonder if anyone can help me (or if this is the right place to ask).
I found this excellent Thunderbird 2 MOC on Flickr and have been trying to model it in LDD with the intent of ordering the parts from Bricklink to build it. I've contacted the original creator, and while he's happy for me to attempt it he doesn't have any instuctions/parts as he builds "in the brick" and it was a few years back. I'm fairly new to creating stuff like this, so have made a valiant attempt to put something together, but I feel like I'm falling flat in a few areas, specifically how the engines are attached and where the nose meets the central area. Can anyone offer any suggestions or tips? It'd be much appreciated, and I promise to return with a completed model once it's finished!

Here's my LXF file as it stands so far

It helps to have a somewhat basic idea, but "just start building" is good. Also, keep in mind if parts of your sets will be hidden. If the section will not be visible, you can use odd colors for them and save the colors you need. The StarWars sets do this a lot. I do it a lot as well. Under many of my moc buildings are lots of orange and yellow bricks supporting the floors.Sooo... Is there any advice for MOC-ing, other than "just start building" ? I wanna' try my hand at a scene from one of the God of War games, not sure how many blocks of brown/blue/whatever else I might need just yet.
Under many of my moc buildings are lots of orange and yellow bricks supporting the floors.
Poor orange bricks, all neglected and lonely, out of sight. At least they serve a very important supporting role.
I now feel like I should build a MOC using all the orange bricks I own as soon as I get home from work!
But I know I won't actually do it, I have a couple games and a cat waiting for my attention.
And other house tasks, but we don't need to talk about such hideously dull things.
Lego.com has the Star Wars advent calendar on sale for $40 today. FYI
Didn't someone in here say it was quite sub-par?
