Megablocks are for chumps.
I'll kill you both with my bare hands.
To be fair, I would've been in complete agreement prior to building the 911 GT3 RS. I put the finished model next to my Lego Ferrari 430 and the Megablocks model just looks so much better.
I don't have time to build from imagination these days so a sexy 3D jigsaw is all I'm really looking for.
Still, that's the last time I mention Megablocks, promise. I bought the Ultimate Build Francisco to atone.

pictures or it didn´t happen... (it is humanly impossible to place a megablock (it´s hard to write that word) model next to a Lego model)...
I want it so badly. There's a guy in my office that just finished restoring a real splitty and I'm hoping he buys it and lets me build it. Otherwise, I'm going to have to tighten some purse strings and buy my own.You now have to buy the VW camper to atone. Some Lego vehicle can be quite poor (the vw beetle is horrible IMO) but the camper is amazing. Not too bumpy, intricate detailing throughout. Probably the most impressive set I've ever built
New house has a floor just for LEGO and games consoles. Sweet.

yeah, get that shit out of the Lego thread!
hey echoshifting, you mentioned the Castle sets, any notable modern sets from that theme? I LOVED the Castle theme back in the 80's and 90's, but they seemed to have gone downhill. I've always dreamed of having that gigantic Black Knight castle as a kid.
Unfortunately, the most elaborate Black Knight set I owned was this:

Don't think I've ever sprawled out the pieces like that across a table. The most I do is keep the contents of each bag separate.
My favorite LEGO set of all times:

I have 3 of them.[/QUOTE]
Loved that period. The saucer dishes and rocket engines where a constant source of inspiration. The translucent blocks almost felt like little jewels.
I'm not sure if these pictures will show up.
But if they do,
These are some mockups of microscale Star Trek LEGO sets.

This is my most recent MOC. It was going to be some kind of mage-academy/school of magic for Lego castle, but in the end I just turned it into a general trader. The adventurer is going off on a big epic journey, so he bought a lot of supplies- his men are carrying it all out and the shop keeper got a pot of gold for her troubles. I love the way the log roof in particular came out- it's something i'd never tried like this before.

I have this sitting in my bedroom, still sealed in the box, in the Lego bag when I bought it last August at the Downtown Disney Lego Store...gotta find the time to build it sometime soon.Ready for blast off!

Sonar? in space?
sigh.
Don't you mean where you and Will built it together? ;-)a few photos from our most recent lego party, where i built the vw camper!
That's three different sets, we were building multiple projects on the same tableWow, the final piece doesn't look like it would have that many blocks to it. Looks like a daunting project.
I used to have that. Got it for Christmas one year.another favorite, Beta-1 Command Base

Will and Norm worked on the camper while Leah and Gina collaborated on the Fire Station. I did the space shuttle solo.Awesome idea! Did the others at your Lego party help you with the camper? Or does everyone bring their own sets to work on?

We have that, it's great! So tempted right now to get Pet Shop after work to go with my Grand Emporium and Fire Brigade.

I wish I knew what became of it. :'(
Why not just buy a die-cast model of a car if a few custom parts made out of crappy plastic is all there is to it.To be fair, I would've been in complete agreement prior to building the 911 GT3 RS.
