Haha! I love the integration of the Friends items into the Falcon. Makes it fun for daddy and daughter to enjoy Lego together.
What's Chewy sitting in? Is that supposed to be a kiddie pool or something?

Anyone have it? A Lego Tractor Trailer seems like a pretty awesome idea to me. Especially all the little mini boxes of lego. I'll probably order it when I start getting my POTC ships.

That is quite nice. I just dream of a nice big set on par with the Taj Mahal set. I can't justify that one or the tower bridge, but I've stood in front of St. Basil's (adopted both of my kids from Russia) and it's truly amazing in person. I could justify a few hundred for that.

The close ups are even more ridiculous. He has some bricks flipped around to help give a better "texture" to the structure. Truly a masterpiece!

If there were instructions, I would probably track down the necessary pieces and pay whatever it cost. I would drive myself crazy trying to figure out how that's put together.

Well, here's the start of my medieval collection
I've got this, well I had it until my daughter laid claim to it. It's a pretty nice truck, there's also a Toys R Us exclusive one that is virtually identical except it's blue and white and had a small TRU store front facade with it.

They have a limited number of molds set up in the factory at any given time. That's why each set is only available for a limited time as well. It would probably be too costly to make every piece all the time.

You SORT of can through their online PAB, but there are limitations (unless they recently got rid of this feature...). You won't ever be able to obtain all the crazy rare pieces to piece out the awesome sets of yesteryear, but you can get some harder to find pieces that way. I was looking at this as an option when I parted out the Lego Dragon...Turns out, I couldn't find the 2x2 green corner bricks on there and was forced to buy an ass ton from Denmark or something, haha.
I know the subscriptions are US-only, but is LEGO Master Builder Academy set available in-store in the US?

I just don't understand how those guys have that many pieces laying around. I think my brain can't comprehend that more so than them actually building those crazy landscapes. Like, how do they have afford that many, even if they're buying them in loose bundles? And how do they have so many of the pieces they need? Where's that Scanners gif when you need it?

In my Metal Grudge, I've got everything running down through the turret, and into the body. There's not a problem fitting the cables as long as you take care not to have them all messily bunched up. Plus if you're following his directions, you'l only have 1 IR Receiver and 1 Battery pack, so you'll have half as many cables as I do.

What is the deal with the Master Builders sets? Are they like the 3-in-1 sets except that each of the models have increased difficulty?
Also, gonna take back the Space Needle today. Any suggestions on $10-20 sets I should get in its place?

Dune Hopper is another nice set for $13.
So the Fire Brigade arrived last night (minus the one bag). I had everything to build the 2nd floor and the roof. I haven't built anything for almost 20 years now, and I was like a damned kid again.
Then I'm marveling at the engineering while I'm building. The fridge was awesome, and then I get to the roof and start building something that I assume is part of the bell tower. I'm like "what the hell is this thing?" and then it has my turn it around, and *BAM* 1932! I freaked out and told my wife that my mind was just blown. Super awesome that it uses tons of pieces in non-traditional ways.
I already blew through all the build I could until I get that bag from LEGO next week or so. I should've tried to stretch it out and savor the moment, but I just wanted to BUILD BUILD BUILD!

I just finished this and it was like $12.99 the Helicopter and Jet both look awesome! have not built the boat yet.

TBH, I just don't understand being excited about Lego builds smaller than ~450 pieces. If it takes me less than 45 minutes to build it isn't that fun.
I like seeing several bags of pieces and then afterward, having a large satisfying finished product. I did just buy a couple $13 Star Wars sets but it was just for the minifigs.

I tend to agree but lego is lego and building a little something new is always fun to me. The Creator 3 in 1's last a little longer.

I was REALLY tempted by that truck yesterday. I don't think they had the Dune Hopper though! That is awesome, I'll keep an eye out for it. Might get that and the Off Road Fire Rescue.
I haven't built anything Lego in YEARS before building the Blue Roaster last night (not counting a BS Ninjago tree set I got just for the mini fig) and it was just sooooo much fun.
I don't think I can even remember the last Lego set I built D: Might have been one of those XTREME OFF ROAD sets from a million years ago?
If the Lego store doesn't have it but it's available online at Lego.com, you can ask the store employee to ship it for free to your house.

I made a slight mistake and had the IR wire going out the side rather than the back, will fix that up tomorrow night now I have one of my last shipments.
Same here. I think I may have used about 10 pieces from my stock (turret, gears and some lift arms). I've not yet calculated the cost but the power functions came to £54 alone. I wasn't so good with Bricklink though so made more orders than I would have needed otherwise (didn't notice how to properly use the wanted list and query shop).
If the total is below £100 I would be surprised.

I actually just assembled that one yesterday. Its a really nice set. Much bigger than I thought it would be. The build is super interesting as well. Much of it is assembled sideways, so the surface of the ship itself is very smooth.
The one "drawback" is that it is not Minifig scale. It is much too big. But a minifig will sit in the cockpit comfortably.
I got it for 59.99 from the LEGO store. Very much worth it.

I've heard great things about it, but I cannot get it myself because it is so large.
I have a "minifig scale only" rule that prevents me from going broke. So, no Tantive IV or Millennium Falcon for me either.

Got the droid escape set and one of the creator sets the other day from Amazon, bought the medieval blacksmith set today and then this weekend I was thinking of dropping by the Lego store near Seattle to pick up the mini modulars.
