I didn't know this. That's pretty excellent - that would lead me to believe that he is indeed up to something amazing.![]()
Please, for the love of God, please be St. Basil's Cathedral. My dream LEGO set.

Yeah, the author of the Grudge was suggesting against that one, as it prevents the split second direction switching which is the reason the tank so lively and mobile.

Well guys...I finally bit. I've been lurking between this thread and the "geek gaf- figure models" thread. It was either a Lego Millennium Falcon or a Hot Toys Batman. I made the right choice!

Yeah, the little one got her hands on it.
haha, that is real cute.pics

I'd never noticed this set before while browsing the website.

Anyone have it? A Lego Tractor Trailer seems like a pretty awesome idea to me. Especially all the little mini boxes of lego. I'll probably order it when I start getting my POTC ships.
Hahaha - these pics get me for some reason. Nice.
For megashock5 (this is "only" 64x64, which is quite impressive for such a beautiful model)

WOW! I love that.
Wish I could figure out how to build something like that. I need to hit the Lego bricks and do some serious training!
The close ups are even more ridiculous. He has some bricks flipped around to help give a better "texture" to the structure. Truly a masterpiece!
I love how this thread just suddenly exploded from a few pages to now 40.
That Millennium Falcon hot tub is so awesome I had to tweet it.
This is madness.

You should definitely go for it. Once my collection's fully sorted i'll be joining you!
Here's two examples/walkthroughs of other people attempting it. They're on EB so ignore all the crappy sigs and stuff, but let the photos speak for themselves.

They have a limited number of molds set up in the factory at any given time. That's why each set is only available for a limited time as well. It would probably be too costly to make every piece all the time. You should be able to buy any LEGO brick ever made on their online shop.
I don't understand how this isn't implemented yet. It's probably just so they don't piss off whiny collectors that paid $2k for the UCS Falcon, etc.

Quick question; How did you find placing the wires from the motors and the receiver in the end? Mine seem a bit tight beneath the turret. The wire going to the battery box is casuing me some trouble too as I fed it through the middle rather than out the back.
I saw that a few months ago and wanted to build one. I don't have the all required parts to do one though.
In my Metal Grudge, I've got everything running down through the turret, and into the body. There's not a problem fitting the cables as long as you take care not to have them all messily bunched up. Plus if you're following his directions, you'l only have 1 IR Receiver and 1 Battery pack, so you'll have half as many cables as I do.
Neither did I, I bought them all off bricklink.
What is the deal with the Master Builders sets? Are they like the 3-in-1 sets except that each of the models have increased difficulty?
Also, gonna take back the Space Needle today. Any suggestions on $10-20 sets I should get in its place?

TBH, I just don't understand being excited about Lego builds smaller than ~450 pieces. If it takes me less than 45 minutes to build it isn't that fun.
I like seeing several bags of pieces and then afterward, having a large satisfying finished product. I did just buy a couple $13 Star Wars sets but it was just for the minifigs.
Can't go wrong with more Creator sets. I liked the transport truck for $20.

Dune Hopper is another nice set for $13.

I was REALLY tempted by that truck yesterday. I don't think they had the Dune Hopper though! That is awesome, I'll keep an eye out for it. Might get that and the Off Road Fire Rescue.
I haven't built anything Lego in YEARS before building the Blue Roaster last night (not counting a BS Ninjago tree set I got just for the mini fig) and it was just sooooo much fun.
I don't think I can even remember the last Lego set I built D: Might have been one of those XTREME OFF ROAD sets from a million years ago?
So the Fire Brigade arrived last night (minus the one bag). I had everything to build the 2nd floor and the roof. I haven't built anything for almost 20 years now, and I was like a damned kid again.
Then I'm marveling at the engineering while I'm building. The fridge was awesome, and then I get to the roof and start building something that I assume is part of the bell tower. I'm like "what the hell is this thing?" and then it has my turn it around, and *BAM* 1932! I freaked out and told my wife that my mind was just blown. Super awesome that it uses tons of pieces in non-traditional ways.
I already blew through all the build I could until I get that bag from LEGO next week or so. I should've tried to stretch it out and savor the moment, but I just wanted to BUILD BUILD BUILD!
If the Lego store doesn't have it but it's available online at Lego.com, you can ask the store employee to ship it for free to your house.

tempted to buy Queen Anne's Revenge or the Black Pearl. AHhhh GAF why must you tempt me
Does anyone have Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter 10215?

I'm considering getting this during the double VIP points sale this week but I'm on the fence. The model is okay and I think my primary interest in the set is because it's a "UCS" set in general. If you have it is it a fun build at least? How does the completed model look in person?
