Put the finishing touches on my Corner Florist MOC tonight. Not as happy with the interior details as the Cafe MOC I made, but a florist is a bit more limiting.
Corner crosswalk button and street sign.
Since I couldnt make a sign that said "Florist" without it being too huge, I made a big rose to put on the sign.
"NO! HULK NOT TAKE EXPIRED COUPONS!"
"But does Hulk not trust the Odinson?"
Rear exit.
Second floor detail.
One of those large refrigerated storage cases for bouquets.
A view from outside.
Next to my Cafe MOC.
Backside of both MOCs.
The part I was most proud of with the Corner Florist was making good, clean angles for the door and second story window. And they are extremely secure and not moving. And ZERO illegal connections too.
The interior is harder to pin down without the right pieces, and space was tight. But I think it blends in well with the other modulars buildings. Next week I will line up all the buildings I have for one big street shot.
When is LEGO going to get the license to produce sets on Game of Thrones/Westeros? Sooooo many epic sets and minifigs will come out of this!! DO IT LEGO!!
How come your photos all have a yellow filter on them?
This. Using the camera on my iPhone. Not sure how to adjust the color balance on it. Sorry for the urine filter.he hasn't adjusted for the color temperature on his camera. The tungsten light he is shooting under gives that yellow tint.

This is my first post on neogaf but I've been lurking this awesome thread for a long time.
I just wanted to thank Lord Error for the parts list for the Dasnewten's Sarigar model. I never would have bothered to figure out how to use bricklink or even attempt the model without that parts list.
no worries, I don't think you can. Probably an after market app is the only way.
Just finished the Millennium Falcon 7965. It's so god damn gorgeous.
I had Camera+ but didn't mess with it too much. Need to redownload it. It bugs the shit out of me with the horrible lighting in my apartment. It also makes building really hard sometimes, especially with instructions that have dark grey and black pieces in them. One of the big reasons I dont mix bags is when things are so close in shade, the separated bags let me know what color I am grabbing (dark green and black look almost the same with the shitty lighting here).
Honestly, I might just go buy a bunch of new bulbs for the place and worry about my wife's reaction after. The crap lighting is fine usually, but it has been getting to me lately. We have been using compact fluorescent bulbs for years, but they are low wattage like my wife likes. I was always pushing for really bright ones. I think the combination of the unadjustable camera and the low light level puts the piss filter on the pics.
Right? Damn good looking set, and really fun to build.
And this is why I've pretty much given up on Lego, Why cant we get commercial sets like this!? Why do we have to get these terribly butchered sets. Everyone has to admit all the potter and LOTR sets are nothing like what they should be. there is no sense of scale or "fullness". We didnt get a single good castle set for Hogwarts!

Fear not, I've figured out numerous structural improvements that can be implemented to this model (without changing anything on its outside look!) that will make it pretty sturdy and possible to give to someone to take a look atHey everyone!

Here are a few pics of it. Everyone that said it is hard isn't lying. A soft breeze can cause the wings to fall off.
Edit* Well I'll figure out flickr later. Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/parallacs/7601312480/

Not sure how many have Comcast but their On Demand has Lego TV (under the kids section).

Have a look here and read the instructions:

I really suggest anyone who built this model to take a look at this, it will transform the model for the better without ruining it in any way.
I've also built a much smaller stand made entirely of transparent pieces that makes the ship look like it's floating above the ground if you don't look too closelyI'll post some photos of that.
The pins are the least important addition, you'll see, the other stuff really makes it much sturdier. I've actually figured out one new small structural addition that makes the top wing fixed even better... should make the photo of that as well.I think I stumbled onto your pictures before when googling on how to do some of the harder to read instruction pics dasnewten posted.
I implemented your technic pins on the wing tips idea and it really helped. For some reason I missed the extra additions to keep the front lower and upper panels on. This will really help. Thanks!
In total it took 14 bricklink orders to get the parts together for this model because of stupid mistakes I made when ordering. I probably have enough parts to build two now
Has anyone checked out Pierre E Fieschi's builds?
God damn, how do you guys incorporate your beautiful Lego pieces into your house/apartment's interior design/decor? Where do you put them on display?
You probably should avoid IronGAF.And this is why I've pretty much given up on Lego, Why cant we get commercial sets like this!? Why do we have to get these terribly butchered sets. one of the better ship lego moc designers out there.
Those drawers are very nice.
Yeah - makes me wonder what his sorting system is like. Probably AMAZING. <3
Hello LEGO-maniacts, Got a question for you all: I've eseteally inherited hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of LEGO blocks, hundreds of sets gong back at least 25 years and I'm not quite sure whats the best way to deal with them all. Now if we decide not to just give them all to some lucky kid, but instead try to ebay them all, what's the best route to go?
We have all the instructions but most of the kits aren't constructed anymore. Would it be better to get all the kits togerther and sell them with thier instructions or sell the instructions seperatly from all the blocks? Would it be better to seperate all the colors (need to hire some OCD kids) or just sell all the blocks by the bin (It's looking like we will have at least 8 to 10, 16-gallon bins of just blocks)?
We have everything from town, space, pirates (with real shooting cannons), castle, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Paridisio (some pink town crap for girls), and most stuff inbetween. There were a few years, from the late 80's to the mid 90's where we were getting every set that came out that year.
So any advice or help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Star wars has a lock on the "huge piececount spaceship" product space for the time being. It really would be sweet to see some original scifi sets of the collector's item variety though![]()
why isn't this on Cuusoo? nearest thing for an 'original' sci-fi ship there is the EVE Rifter one

The free ninja go thingies should have been the things that killed the coupon.I tried ordering the 9398 Crawler from ToysRUs (set is up on their website) on the phone to ask for the 20% discount. They couldn't place the order on their system either because the free shipping excluded the 20% coupon from being used.

Yeah I gues TRU can only honor one special per order - they wouldn't give me my free minifig with my 20% purchase either...
20% coupon works in store but only on in stock items. I got another one and an tempted to get the Fury class, but that price still hurts.Oh, so you got the 20% to work in store? I should check if they have the 9398 in stock. (Or are you referring to a separate 20% coupon that you received?)
Speaking of the amazing 9398, check out the following review, with some great videos.
