What the hell? I just opened up my Xbox360 copy of LEGO Lord of the Rings and it says "DEMO DISC NOT FOR SALE" printed on the disc itself. I'm gonna put it in and see what it does. What a snafu this has been so far for this game. First off, EB Games said that they didn't get any of the Elrond pre-order bonus mini-figs (of which I was supposed to get two, one for the 360 and one for the 3DS) from their supplier and now this! Ugh...
When they say they didn't get the preorder bonus it's a high probability they took it for themselves.

Just grabbed the Haunted House for 139.99!!!
-$40.00 in VIP points :p

This will be fun for my wife and son to build on New Years Day!!!

I wish I could find sales in Canada on Lego as good as the stuff I see in this thread.

As a Canadian who travels pretty regularly, the deals aren't all that prevailant outside of online-only sales.

Or maybe I'm just bitter that there were no deals at the Super Target I just went to.

The first alien type from Galaxy Squad.

Lego catalog. If you have ordered from them or are a VIP, you should get it in the mail. I usually get it later than everyone else on here. And I never get the coupons in them either. :(

Ordered from them online I'm assuming? As opposed to old-fashioned mail-order-catalog ordering.

District 9 was what I kept thinking too...

And then in Chima-land, we have Winzar (I keep wanting to type WinRAR) and Wakz. My question is are the more pronounced animal heads just helmets that they wear? WEIRD.

I have a feeling Skies of Arcadia fans may like Chima. I've been thinking about getting the Vampyre's Castle fo make a Castlevania scene.

Nice! I've pretty much decided that Haunted House will be my next purchase. (Unless another set goes oop). Only thing that sucks is its sold out everywhere and Amazon sellers are price scalping.

Would you pay 99$ for it knowing what you know?
I don't buy oop sets because of the markup, and not knowing how much I'll like it. Since I know how awesome Slave I is, I'd probably buy it. It's my favorite SW ship of the new Falcon, TIE and X. For reference I didn't like the Falcon much--the playset aspect didn't do much for me, and it's too fragile and big for swoosh.

The biggest flaw in Slave is when you open the torpedo doors, they tend to break off. Otherwise it's close to perfect. Scale is good, great playability, and great little details.

Oh, my brain hurts reading this from Yahoo.

What in the world? It is as if a Frankenstein monster of Babelfish and a PR generator made that article up.

I can't help but stare at the one module of vampyre castle that's been built and fantasize about buying a second one to combine with it. Perhaps I need to sell out and apply to work on wall street when I graduate
No way I'm qualified but if I add some math to my transcript and make it to an interview maybe I can bullshit my way in...
. I'd love to work for Lego but don't want to move that far, and also I'm sure designer jobs are a bitch to get.

Yess! Take their heads & helmets, body swap it with Space Marine LEGO minifig's, use any of the Vic Viper designs & you got your own Star Fox Fleet in the making. Some of the Chima sets can easily be modded into a Landmaster too.

Do you have any Lego Stores or toysrus's near you? Maybe a Lego store or R'us within reasonable driving distance might have one?

I hope you find one for 179.00 or less!!

Damn yoo!!! *shakes fist*

Dat scale!! Dat playability!!
And my son wanted it last year or the year before when TRU had them on the shelf too!!

If only...

In other more grounded realities, I missed the $99 Millennium Falcon at TRU. And I see it is that price at Walmart, but it is not available online, and my local store is sold out. I have checked a few other sites but had no luck so far. Has anyone seen any other sales on it right now? I am hoping to get it for my nephew's Christmas present.

Any walmarts far from you that have it?
(Far=30-50miles.)

Is that my option for Haunted House at this point? I haven't kept up with the news besides hearing it all goes oop this year. There's a Lego store here but they mark up a lot, so it might be cheaper to buy it at lego.com with shipping.

Is the Haunted House/Monsters Fighter theme the shortest available released Lego set? I mean, the Haunted House just came out last month...now its already going OOP?

Inverted 2x2 tile? Be still my heart!

How the arrows are done. That is so awesome. I was under the impression we were getting inverted cheese slopes to pull it off, but this is so ingenious.

Oh, and it looks like Jamie is pulling out his awesome "let's build it upside down!" technique again:

Also, the more I look at the pics of past trains, the more I want them. It would be dangerous for me to get into the trains. Of course, I know I will get Horizon Express soon (all that lovely orange!), but the older trains are calling now.

I want Emerald Night badly, but it's expensive :/

And most importantly, I don't have the space for any railroad setup.
