I'm currently doing the one in San Ferrio where I have to go pick up Cesar who's like in the middle of goddamn NOWHERE and I have to ride for like 2 million miles just to meet him. And then what does he say when I get to him? He tells me to fucking ride another goddamn 2 million miles to Angel Pine! Ok fine, so we travel. So it's his fucking ride and I have to drive? WTF?
Also, the game forces you to get there in that damn car (if the car gets wasted, you fail the mission). I mean, when you get out of THAT car and into another one, Cesar follows you so what's the damn issue here? This forces you to be extra cautious when travelling to Angel Pine as there are some fucking maniacs on the road to Angel Pine who will ram your ass off and get your car damaged for nothing. And then there are the damn tractors hogging the road who you can't really avoid if you're going too fast. This means that you have to travel to Angel Pine at a moderate pace and the damn place is so fucking far away.
Add to that the need to constantly switch to the ingame map in the menu and it becomes an exercise in fucking frustration. The roads in San Andreas are wonderfully crafted especially those freeways in the cities but damn, I NEVER had to refer to the ingame map (relying only on the radar instead) when playing GTA3 or VC. In San Andreas, not referring to the ingame map will sometimes cause you to miss your mark by A LOT. And when going into the menu, using the map requires an extra second of loading. It's all very very disruptive especially when in the middle of a mission...
