Something I really enjoy about Valheim is that I can just got lost in that game for hours. Building, crafting, exploring, and farming all create a cool loop.
Combine it with the simple art style and UI design, I kind of get that old feeling of gaming back in the day.
A lot of games these days lack that because of how much they stack on to the game I think. Account linking, in game stores, limited time events, advertisements, and pop ups for days; sometimes all without even getting past the main menu lol
