Well, by its nature, a media bias is going to exist no matter what. Left, right, whatever. But the NY Post wears its politics on its sleeve. It gets a little out of control sometimes.

And he was promptly fired, the paper took full responsibility, and there were shake-ups at the highest levels. Even with Jayson Blair, the NY Times has decades of credibility to its name, the Post is - and always has been - a rag, and everyone within a 100 mile radius of any of the five boroughs knows it.

Still it didn't happen at the Post and the Times itself admits it's liberal bias. Maybe FortNintey is right. Not worth the paper they are printed on. I should get Newsday. Oh wait, they are being audited for their false circulation numbers. :lol

Something absolutely hilarious about that sharing front page honors with the death of Yasser Arafat.

If that is what sells papers. Let them print all the headlines that are fit to print. If they consider Arafat 'won't be missed' and his wife a gold digger, then maybe they have written a story or two on why they think that way. If they are 'shameless' about how they promote themselves, then it's definitely not a 'hidden' agenda like other more liberal newspapers (and just cause it's hidden doesn't give them an 'aura' of objectivity either).

..and yes, the NY Post is a newspaper that reports the 'Goddamn' news. Go online and see for yourself. Plenty of International, US, local stories, sports, entertainment news etc. That's why it's called a Newspaper. They are one of the fastest growing US newspapers in circulation for a reason. It's not all sensationalist headlines or a 'rag' as some people would conveniently label it.

But I see this NY newspaper is of the more trashy ones, like UK`s The Sun, thankfully. I didnt know that before.

Well, atleast here in western Europe, and the rest of the world outside america I guess, Arafat`s death is met by grief and great respect for the man. The man was a Nobel piece price winner for gods sake.

oh well then, I guess western europe forgot he is the father of modern day terrorism, lets not forget him trying to overthrow the government of Jordan, Black September, Munich olympics, suicide bombers... I'm not surprised that sections of Western Europe grieve for him, it's typical behavior.

I knew that some of Arafat's policies were divisive and led to splintering among the populace, but I didn't realize that he received a commendation explicitly for it. ;)
