The next Mario game needs...

to have fucking mushrooms in it. Ever since he made the move into 3D the power up mushrooms all but disappeared. Now he is just "Super" Mario all the time, he can't lose the superness and shrink down to regular Mario anymore. His superness isn't special anymore.

The "Too Much Fun" tv ads reminded me of this, as they use the super-sizing sound at the end of it.

That's an interesting point, I wonder why they abandoned the mini Mario? They had to have a reason.

I hope they put the HUGE mario into the next game like with Mario 64 DS, that New Super Mario Bros. DS Tech Demo and
Bowser in Paper Mario 2
.

Isn't there some sort of mushroom powerup in Mario DS? I'm pretty sure IGN had a video of that.

Going off the official site, I think the flower is supposed to be a catch-all powerup now, as there's four characters. I'd like to see a return to mushrooms and the neat hat system they had in Super Mario Land 2

Now he is just "Super" Mario all the time

Isn't he "Small" Mario all the time? In Mario 64/Sunshine Bowser is about 3 times bigger than Mario ( just like he was in Mario Bros on nes) meaning that the Mario in 64/Sunshine has no power up.

But who knows, maybe you're right.

i used to call those mushrooms "The Bigness" back when Super Mario Bros. 1 first came out. "QUICK! GET THE BIGNESS BEFORE IT SLIDES OFF THE SCREEN!"

Multiplayer as in battling for stars/co-op to complete tasks multiplayer, similar to what you already see in Mario 64 DS, NOT like Mario Party.

Is there actually co op in the main game or is multiplayer limited to mini-games?
